9 leaf plant? Ok or ?????

Was up at my grow yesterday,,, and counted 9 fingers on one of the leaves ,,,I thought it was 7 max,,,, my friend said it was totally fine ,it's just down to genetics,,but would like more opinions ,, just in case I have ,,a fucked up plant?

I'm pretty sure you can't fuck a plant up in a way to where it grows more fingers on the leaves
I've had some plants with 11 fingered leaves, and I've never heard anyone say they should have no more than 7 in all my reading on cannabis plants.

You’re good man! The 9 and 11 leafers do look kinda odd though. Not that stereotypical pot leaf. Here’s one of my 9 leafers

So I'm good yeah ?,,, got to admit they look cool as fuck ,,,,, got new seeds today,, all autos ,,, now plan for them yet,,, what you think of strain ?

Ive had upto 13 on mine , not a bad thing to have more panels to fuel the plant.

If your main concern is blade count per leaf, listen to the plants, not your friends.

I think mostly genetics at play but I've heard nitrogen tox can do this too?

I love Barnie's seeds. I've grown the Glue Gelato, and it was tasty AF.

Very common. Cannabis can have leaves with more than 13 blades. Don't worry about it. The main thing you should worry about with leaf blade count is if you start getting a bunch of single bladed leaves in the middle of flower.

Singles leaves in my experience have not developed great bud structure in flower. As i had this happen to one of my monster clones , was a beauty in veg but once she flowered i was very disaapointed... rip

Please elaborate. Ive seen singles on buds but dont know about this situation....hoping to learn.

Had a clone/ clones i took from a flowering plant, revegged it and one of them only grew single and triple leaves only? So i grew it to flower, when it flowered the buds didnt get big and they were airy and wispy??? i just new it wasnt going to produce, cuz other ones were fine?
So i killed it ...

Thanks for sharing. I have not had the privileged access of clones many have, but i gotta say the number of issues that can arise from clones tells me you gotta know good people if you use clones.

It was a clone taken at 7weeks flower,(basically a bud) lol... so that played into it i believe? Other ones were fine, as they were taken earlier at 4week flower.

Sounds like it was then hardwired to re-veg which sometimes only produces single blades.

What I was referring to with a bunch of single blades forming in the middle of flower was revegging. Which happens when the light schedule gets mucked up. That's something to be worried about. The OP has nothing to worry about with a 9 bladed leaf.
