9 cfls? do i need more?

i currently have 9 26watt cfls growing 9 2 and a half foot tall plants. do i need more? im also switching 4 of them out to 2700k and putting them on 12/12. i want to get a sog rotation going with clones from 2 of them. any tips on making them flower?

if thats 9 plants you need like at least 4 or 5 lights per plant for veg.. If you can only have 9 and not get any more you better start thinkin about saving which 2 plants out of ur 9

thay grew fine and thick on 4 of the and the i added 3 more and they jus did a lil better.

If they have been doing well so far, and then you added more for your 12/12, then sounds like mine! I didnt stick to any spec # of lights per plant, and so far my grow is gowing GREAT! You can check it out to see for yourself, today is day 17 of flower for me, with no complaints right now!

You can expect a doubling and maybe tripling in height during your flowering period. The trick is to realize the sides of the plant are where the cfl's should be focused. Keeping a few lights on top are ok, but getting your lights in real close (from each side) to the top 1/2 to 1/3 of the plant will optomize a big main cola and generate good bud production in the middle of the plant. I've got 2, 2 foot indicas and one 3 foot sative going now with 8 42watt cfl's (2700k & 6500k) plus 4 t-12 tubes vertically mounted for that stretchy sativa. Ergo... you will need some more lights for the sides. You'll see what I mean after preflowering! Good luck

well now i have 2 3000k 40watt 4ft lights on top and 8 5600k cfls underneath. i know to get 2700k but all they had was 3000k. will they still flower?

4 or 5 CFLs? Dont bullshit the kid. 2 CFLs are more then enough for each. He just needs to keep them close!
