Thanks, im beginning to think cannabis plants never actually finish and its just always 2 more weeks haha
I know what you mean. And I’m sure you’ve read that pistils/stigmas should mostly be changed from white to red/brown, and they’ll turn inward a bit as the calyx swells. They will thicken considerably as that happens. Then it becomes a matter of preference. I finally waited long enough to see this happen on my last grow. I harvested a bit too early first two grows. Good news is the product was still effective enough. Had enough weed to experiment (i.e. I wasn’t dying for the harvest to come in to feed my head), and I’ve started to find what for me is the sweet spot. Have fun. Be patient. You’ll be glad you did.

Yea Im getting impatient with it haha but ill wait til its ready.

start of this week the pistils started to really turn orange and recede and its putting weight on like crazy so im hoping the rest of this week and another full week should do…

but it’ll probably still be another 2 weeks after that!

Might be a little heavy on the nitrogen. I did that my first few rounds it’s very easy to feed too much N once flowering starts, they get sensitive real quick after the stretch.

looks like you’ll have a good harvest those buds are thick.

I see lots of amber heads scattered around. You are definitely in a 1 or 2 week harvest window.

Beautiful plants though, just note the dark green leaves can mean your feed is a little high in Nitrogen, excess nitrogen in bloom can cause problems with ripening & bud development. Also some claim it causes a harsh or "hot" smoke. Not sure what they mean by "hot" personally but it would make sense.

I usually start cutting feed in half by the last week or two before harvest unless the leaves tell me otherwise. Good work.

Thats good to know thanks, i mean i have been pumping it full of nutes (organic) i might give it a couple feedings of just plain water and see if that helps basically a flush for a week?

If your doing organic nutrients you could give plain water for a week, I wouldn't "flush" them I would just give plain water so the plant eats up whatever is left in the grow medium. You'll see the plants leaves fade and be ready to chop once trichomes are milky with some ambers. Just check the mid canopy for ripeness vs the top colas, tops are usually riper than the mid/lower canopy.

Thanks for that man, basically confirming what i was thinking to do, mid canopy pistils only just started turning orange so i guess its definitely another week or 2 at least, i shall give the plain water a go and see whats up. Thanks again

Oh an interesting thing too I've learned, if your plants were slightly overfed, when you give the plain water, you will notice they CHUG it and dry out way quicker. Maybe you'll notice that too. :D
