I had great luck the 1st time and gonna try a few new things. I think the leds I have ar enough gonna try some mylar and make it a tented room.

I have exposed beam ceiling. So far is goung well.
I have a concrete basement so on two walls I used that insulation with a shiny side.
Now I read that it's flammable ( Grrrr) , but the LED lights don't really get that hot.
Do your lights generate a lot of heat?

The least expensive "good" option I've found for that space would be 8 x the new Mars SP 3000 @ $399 apiece - $3200

I'm not a huge Mars-hydro fan, but this looks like a decent fixture at a reasonable price. It also offers you the opportunity to play with the spacing between fixture to get a really even PAR map for the canopy.SP Series LED Grow Lights | Mars Hydro

That's good to hear. I hate to have to remove that insulation. I used liquid nails. Lol
May I ask what brand of lights you have? I purchased from California Lighting. They had good costumer service, but I hear some criticism of that brand. I need to get two more and I am trying to decide

Heat won't be an issue for that space and now you can grow 2+ pounds per harvest for $155.

I made the same choice and purchased LED. It was all so confusing.
If I keep the plants within the confines of a 4x4 area under the light, will it be ok? Or do I have to close in the room?
I have 8 plants, mainly because I thought I would screw up and half of them might die. But, what do you know? They are growing
I have 400 W LED Hanging 2 ft below my unprotected floor joist.
Do you still advise to insulate and drywall?

If you can't seem to be responsible enough to ensure you don't burn down your house with a light, then by all means stick to LED.
There are enough irresponsible people doing things already...

That is so incorrect it's just laughable. You can spend as much as you want but to say 4k minimum to light that area with good led lights is just incorrect, by a lot.
