8x magnifying glass

Would an 8x magnifying glass be strong enough for me to look at the trichs close enough to see if they get cloudy/amber? or do i need something stronger..10x? 30x?

i have a 30x loupe and i cant hardly see shit outta it.. not strong enough for me to see the trichs,so i bought a 60x 100x microscope that works way better

I bought this. It works great although it was a little hard to focus at first.

Snip off a piece of sugar leaf and put it on a flat surface
It super easy to focus that way

exact one i bought also. works ok but focusing is hard sometimes

Do you look at the trichs while they are on the plant or do you snip off a piece of sugar leaf and look at it on a flat surface?
I'm guessing right on the plant because I don't see how anyone could struggle with that thing

That's what I do but when I first got it I was trying to look through it while on the plant.

Yeah that is a common mistake, I did the same thing
