Don't you DARE put me in the same class as curioscat when it comes to cactus. I considered doing what he has done, grafting ,for a hot minute and have never done anything but keep lophora alive in pots and grow one of the easiest of all cactus, the torch. While I knew this was possible I never considered the advantages. I would love to try my hand at it but currently I am far more interested in my tomatoes, potatoes, hops and assorted, fully legal plants. In the end, I would sooner have a great heirloom tomato plant than a pot plant - its just me. The guy has me beat when it comes to cacti knowlege.

id rather have the tomato also..i can get pot..ill need something to eat after i.get the munchies

You got to go big or go home. Don't dip your little toes in the water. Jump in!!! You need to boil down 4 feet of cactus and drink it all. You will purge anything excessive. Mescalito will not let you overdose on tea. Pills maybe. Then trip balls man. You will thank me later. Stop trying for a threshold dose. Balls to the wall!

Okay, so should be getting 36" of T.Brigdesii soon. Going to prep 24" and plant the other foot. This is from a different vendor,hopefully it will be nothing like that pedro I drank. Best San Pedro tea extract ever: cut two feet of cactus into one inch stars. Cut up stars into chunks. Blend chunks until it is more liquid than chunk. Add four cups of water and boil for 4 hours. Strain with a cotton shirt. Boil down the strained liquid to a cup. You will trip. The liquid should be a dark brownish green and it should be pretty thick. If it doesn't have the nastiest taste and texture you've ever had in your life then you did something wrong.
