80% leaves yellow, should I harvest early?

Question: Will my buds continue to develop with most the leaves yellowed (~85%)? When is the ideal time to harvest now under these circumstances?

I am at 6 weeks for a 6-8 week strain (hindu kush, 100% indica). There are buds, but a good percentage of them still need to develop a lot more to fill out the bud sites. Under normal circumstances I know it would be at least 2 weeks from now, if not more, before I would harvest. All of the big leaves are fully yellowed though. The only ones that are still green are the smaller ones developing trichomes that are attached directly to the bud sites, however, i assume those will start yellowing sometime soon if this continues.

On a side note, I'm pretty sure this happened because a feeding with a really low pH (pH pen broke >_>), which I since corrected by watering with a higher pH, but the damage has already been done.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think my plant is going to die because of so many yellow leaves? I mean, not from the problem that caused them to yellow (which I believe I fixed), but because vast majority of leaves (~85%) aren't going through photosynthesis now? I wanted to push it as long as I can, but on the other hand, I don't want to lose what I have. With that said, could you please elaborate on your stance about why you think I should harvest now? I want to make sure I am making the right move harvesting now as my yield would be mediocre.

Im pretty sure he was just trolling lol. Hindu kush in my experience is an 8 to 9 week flower, and you should feed them if theyre yellowing that much. I can almost guarantee that they are not finished at 6 weeks.

Thanks a lot kmog33, I'll do just that. My orig question was if the buds will still develop with all the major leaves yellowed. I was concerned that I might just be wasting time and energy, but I guess Ill just stick it out and see how it goes.

Yes if you give her food shell dense out, the last two weeks are usually when mine put on the most weight

i agree with kmog, not much worse then premy bud ime... let them go, try feeding them some, and let them go til they're mature, you'll be glad you did.
and ps, feeding with a low ph, then feeding with a high ph isn't correcting anything, only causing more issues..

umm, just an fyi, the older leaves that the color is off on probably won't bounce back to healthy normal coloring from defiencies, sometimes they do with a nitrogen def. though, but not always.
just keep an eye on the newer / newest upper growth, as this is the best clue to the plants over all health ime..

i have had plants that flower until they r basically dead. If it is still drinking and making buds, it is fine and id let it do its thing. I have harvested buds from a plant that didn't have any green except the stems/buds. If it is not drinking then it is done and time to chop, but i doubt this is the case. Sounds to me like u locked out nitrogen and the plant ran out a little early. Most plants run out of N toward the end of flower, your probably just locked N out a little before they were finished eating it, but a plant can flower even if its out of N.

I would be careful tho, i've had og's that i've ran for 10 weeks that started to produce seeds, it wasnt a lot and they definitely werent fully formed, it was more like seedless watermelons. like they had some seeds that u can eat, but they BARELY started to form, but regardless some were forming. that is after a week of flush and completely taking out n for 3 weeks. (overdrive & cha ching for 2 weeks + 1 week flush with r.o. water)

However running master kush, I think 10 weeks is PERFECT for master kush.

Never had mine make seeds, and ive let mine go to long accidentally. If the trichromes r not yet going amber, and the plant is drinking and not falling over, in my opinion it needs more time. It may look ugly, it is using everything it has to finish off ur buds. Just monitor them closely.

Yep, the ugliest one is phos during flower, looks like mold and shit and the old growth never changes other then stopping it from spreading further.

It's been awhile since I've seen any of those lately other then on my kookie remix. She's sometimes a 14+ week strain depending on which pheno I use lol

i knew someone back in kern county that fully removed every fan leaf likehalf way into flower only had sugar leaf and bud it made buds the size of my arm
