8 x 8 room setup no tent 2 600 hps how many?

New place can't fit a tent here but have a spare box room just under 9 x 9. Been growing around 2 years always done in a 8 x 4 tent 8 plants soil 2 600 hps and average aroud 1kg which is 2 poundish i think I'm from UK . Would I have to put the alliminum foil on the walls? How many plants do you think and what pots. again will be 2 600 hps growing in soil from seed. Iv always grown same strain is it a lot more difficult having multiple at same time? Thanks for help

Buy panda film for walls not foil. Foil on walls is bad idea. Sounds like a good time to double up on lights and just do 4 x 600. If not you can just use the same foot print you were using, you will lose some light on the open side where you have no wall. Also if you wanted you could just paint the walls flat white or eggshell white instead of panda film. You now have enough room if you wanted to divide it up you could do a 5x9 flower chamber and a 4x9 storage and veg area to keep mothers so don't have to always run from seed.

Dont put tinfoil on the walls. Use white mylar or just paint the walls flat white. Its more reflective and doesnt have all the wrinkles that can cause hot spots on the plant.

As for lighting, 2x600w HPS wont fill an entire 8x8. You could maybe split the room so you have a veg space and a flower space, and upgrade your lighting based on that.

As for how many plants and what size pots, that's more dependent upon you. If you split your space for flower/veg that effects flowering square footage.

And then your grow style comes into play. Some people will cram 4 plants per sqf and run 12/12 start to harvest. Other people grow 1 big plant per 2x2 space. Its moreso about what you want to do, and what your end goal is.

With your added space you could do things like add side lighting if you grow taller plants, this makes for some really good yields off a small number of plants.
