8 weeks flowering still small buds!

OK! So I'm growing Skunk Haze with advanced nutes 3 part system with big bud to get the colas fat in a 5 gallon bucket and a 400 watt hps with cool tube. I've grown this strain before with the exact same set up in my closet with great results, But this time I'm going on 8 weeks and the look like their about 3 to 4 weeks old. The flowering is very slow and I dont know why? Ph is at 6.5 the temp stays at 76deg good fresh air circulation, I feed once a week. The Plants look healthy and the grew up to about 6 feet and they smell so good. Its just all the bud sites are small. I NEED HELP to figure this out. Hit me up if you need more info...

Wow that is the most tangled mess of pot I've ever seen- not in a bad way, though. First, you've got a mostly sativa plant and it probably won't be as dense as most indicas. There are signs of either a heat or watering issue causing the leaves to curl parallel to the mid rib. If the temps all through the area are 76, you might have a look at your watering schedule. Wait until about the top half of the soil is completely bone dry before watering. Keep in mind that the plants can survive all of the soil totally drying out perfectly fine.

It may not be possible with those plants, but you might try checking the roots for binding as that can cause watering issues, slow growth and stalling.

Are they clones of plants you've already grown or started from seed? The reason I ask is if they are from seed you may have gotten a much more sativa dominant phenotype, while its the same strain it may take longer to flower than your used to. From the looks of your pic those girls are going to be flowering at least a few more weeks so they may bulk up still.

Thanks for the input man. I forgot to mention that its a hydro grow. But as for the temp, It does get cold at night as low as 60deg. could this be a problem?

Its cold this time of year in central Cali. Would a heating pad work under the bucket to keep the water warm?

Welcome to the Jungle1 ha ha ha!!! These girls got crazy on me. They did what they wanted. My last grow looked just like this and i got a very nice amount.

No, that isn't cold enough to be an issue and cold nights would cause different symptoms. That's assuming 60 is the coldest it gets. After looking through them more closely, there really isn't that much leaf curl. I just noticed one or two before but it doesn't appear to be chronic. The leaves in the first pic showing all-over yellowing are probably Nitrogen deficient.

I would go to wall mart and grab one of those little heaters, thats what I use ( its been -10farenheit here for almost a two weeks here now lol) and it keeps my room perfect. keep water at room temp, and just raise the room temp would be best bet.

Some good sources of N are Fish Emulsion/Hydrolyzed Fish, Bat & Seabird Guanos and Blood Meal.

While they don't appear to be deficient in it, Potassium is the primary flowering nutrient. While giving them some Nitrogen, you should give them some extra K if you can to help increase bud size. This is about the best source: http://www.planetnatural.com/site/organic-potash.html You can also get Muriate of Potash more commonly at garden centers but it's harder on the plants than the Palm Ash.

Your PH is way to high for hydro , thats where your problems are coming from. |Drop your PH to 5.5 - 5.9 and you should be fine. What kind of hydro setup you running? Is it DWC or drip system?
