8 Week of Flower - Leaf Browning

Im on my 8th week of flower and i just discovered that several of the newest leaves at the top of the plant are turning brown between the veins of the leaf. It turned this way over just a couple days.
Im growing in Nectar #4 soik, indoors. Im watering ever 3 days now and only giving her Herculean Harvest and Aphrodites. The PPM is low now, closer to 350ppm, as im trying to reduce it as she finishes. Idk the ph as my meter wont calibrate as of a few days ago and im wondering if my misreads prior led to me adding to much acid to lower the PH. Is this a calcium deficiency? Any help would be appreciated.

Ive also thrown in a photo of one of the buds from yesterday, to show how she is doing.

It could be a potassium deficiency from the PH being off the plant may not be able to use the available nutes, however I usually see more yellowing if that were the case. I am just guessing maybe light burn based on the lack of yellowing. just a guess

Interested to see more responses as I’m in week 9 of flowering and seeing something similar.
If it were a cal deficiency I think it would be more in splotches. Also you don’t have the upturned leaf edges which I believe is a common sign of cal deficiency (had it myself during veg).

Wouldn't worry about it as plant looks about done and looks like natural progression to me

Thanks for the responses.

I thought it might be light burn, but the colas closer to the light don't have that issue and there are no other signs (yellow leaves at top or foxtailing)

My temp range is between 65 degrees at night and 75 degrees during the day.

DarthVaper84, I do have upturned leaves, even that 2nd picture has the tip curling up just isn't noticeable based on the angle of the photo. I haven't had any deficiencies up until about 3-4 days ago. I hadn't been watering for runoff until last water. I'm using a 20gallon smart pot for 1 plant and I didn't want to over water. I gave her 4 gallons of tap water a couple days before this appeared and it had about 1 liter of runoff that I pulled out of the saucer.

Trickyticky: I hope that is the case. Everything has looked great until now. I'm going to let her go 9 full weeks though as I haven't seen enough amber trichomes to warrant chopping.

Are you thinking that im just nearing the finish line then and this isnt a problem?

Saw it now and its progressing on the fan leaves closest to the colas. The majority of the fan leaves have no visible issues. I noticed today that the pistils are considerably browner than a few days ago, but the trichomes are still mostly clear or cloudy, very few amber.

So is this a natural indicator of senescence?

your hairs haven't fully retracted yet so if your in week 9 id say 11/12 weeks

Im still in week 8.

Then maybe this is a deficiency due to me cutting back on nutes. Should i go back to putting more nutes in then?

yes if your intention was a flush you probably starved her, not sure how easy that will to be to fix but I suggest starting small.

flushing has been proven to be a waste the plant will eat from its own nutritional bank if it can't get it from the soil, there's no need to reduce feed especially when she needs it to finish bulking it's possible this is delayed, but over all health seems fine, possibly only extended flower time

I will ease back in nutes. Would 800ppms be suitable? The tap is 120 then im adding in NOTG: Herculean Harvest, Gaia Mania, Medusas Magic & Aphrodites Extraction. With a small dose of Liquid KoolBloom.

what ppm did you run during flower before flush your tips seem burnt so at somepoint it received to much, it say bring it back up slow, perhaps 3/4 of the ppm

it really doesn't seem that damaged so do things slowly without haste, can quickly take a small matter and make a mountain out of it right before the finish line your so close.

I just read your ph meter is broken id fix that asap, your substrate is mainly peat, could be dragging ph down aswell causing a deficiency

I was giving between 900 and 1200 at one point. Those tips showed yellow weeks ago and i stopped feeding every water, doing 2 waterings between feedings, and it didnt progress.

Ill wont give it that much again. Maybe 600 or so.

ok it is also possible your peat is dragging the ph down , id feed your peat at 6 or even 6.2 to try to keep it from falling, did you ever use any dolomite lime to counter the peat breaking down? there would be plenty of food yet it won't eat with a low ph

I ordered a new pH meter and will use it the next feed.

I havent introduced any dolomite lime. This is my 3rd grow with this soil, and the previous plants were perfect with no deficiencies. I also fed those plants more frequently. It was this grow that i decided to reduce feeding on the premise that i had a buildup of salf that a flush would correct and "make the product taste better".

its good thing your aware. I think promix is essentially the same as sunshine 4 but they add dolomite lime to counter the acidity, im not sure if your brand added any but its slow release and heavy in the water stream so its easy to flush it away
