This is our first grow, indoor with a friend's box with CFLs and mylar. I've noticed slow growth the past 2 weeks and looked up the strain, Dutch Passion Dolce Vita Feminized. Quite a few posts recommend 2 weeks of vegetative after the seedling takes root, is this accurate?

Temperature: 85 during light, 75-80 during night. Humidity a consistent 40%.
Airflow: I have two active intakes with 120mm fans at the top and two active outakes with 120mm fans at the top.
Watering: Every other day, saturate.
Nutes: Dynamite all purpose 18-6-8; applied about 3 times in the past 4 weeks.
Soil: 2 pts miracle grow garden soil, 1 pt scott's premium potting soil , 1pt perlite
Light: 18/6. 6x 42 watt, 4x 23 watt

Today is the start of Week 6 and all pics are from today except IMG_20110903_195141. It's starting to smell pretty heavy, but we can't even tell if they're all females yet (although it looks like it and they are fem. seeds). Its just hard to believe we should begin flowering already, but should we?

They're actually at 6 weeks. But I guess I'm confused on whether or not to start flowering. With this strain, the instructions were to leave them in veg. for 2 weeks after the seedlings take root. It's been about 4 weeks since the seedlings have taken root...

you can start flowering whenever you want.

the longer you let them stay in veg cycle, the larger the plant will be in the end of flowering. So with that said, make sure you have enough vertical room for them.
