why not play it safe and go 12/12? is the time that the lights are on a factor for you. is there light leaks that someone might notice or something?

just a guess but the plant needs light for bud formation, it might cut into your final weight, this is just a guess though

tallness yes, they do stretch the most in the dark, i am not sure about bud formation. but again i could be wrong

12/14 is possible but you'll need a 7day timer and have 2 chane/modify the times every week!!!

shit gets real confusing: MONDAY=on at 12am off at 12pm,TUESDAY on at 2am off at 2am,WENDESDAY on at 4am off at 4pm ETC................

cycles less than 10/14 will have diminshed yields.. the plant still needs light for energy to grow buds.. if you take to much light away the yields will drop accordingly... anywhere between a 10/14 and a 14/10 cycle will give you the best yields possible... 12/12 being the "safest" cycle...

have you tried 10/14?

im going to try 14/10 sometime.. and im also playing around with my veg light cycles.. im going with a 20/4 cycle my next grow instead of a 24/0... im curious to see where that gets me..

i have always gone with a 24/0 veg cycle.. but after much much much discussion with some friends on here ive decided to go with the 20/4 cycle.. although, in my case, i dont think it will make as much of a difference as it would other growers..

with 24/0 you get more growth, shorter plants, and tighter node spacing... which isnt bad if you have good lighting..

the benefit of the 18/6 or 20/4 or any cycle that has a dark period during veg comes from the stretching that occurs during the dark... the stretching the occurs during the lights of period allows for more light to penetrate into the canopy, thus more light for the plant to absorb giving you a stronger happier plant.. since most growers cant max out the amount of light their plants can absorb and use, they benefit from the stretching...

Given but with the stretching its harder to get good light angels
