iv seen numerous posts and pic of people with there CFL setups where they have a row of cfls, anyone has a step by step guide to make these? all i have now y adapters and 2 light clamps (check pic)
im starting up another grow and to add more cfls effectively and the row from the top seems to be the best bet. any info would be greatly useful thanx!

Disregard that bud growing in there. It's left over from a harvest I did a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't ready to be chopped.

Here is my current CFL setup. This is the best use of CFLs I can make. I bought the light fixture at Lowes. My box isn't done but it grows just fine as is.

Light fixture $18
Y adapters 2-3 bucks
CFLs ???

Hope that helps you out a bit.

This is the same box with my old light setup. I know it looks like a mess in there. I used three different power strips. Thick messy wires.

To this. Much cleaner with better light coverage. One power wire exiting the box.

Just some more ideas.

There is a serie of 24 videos in youtube that explain every step to build a box. The guy also explains how to build the strip you are saying. look for: How To Build a Grow Box From Start To Finish

get a turkey cooking foil thingy from the 99 cent store, like the kind u cook the turkey in for thanksgiving... turn it upside downand cut a small hole in the center, hang the first y adapter inside the hole with the wire coming out the bottom..., then go from the 1 y adapter to an immediate split , so on and so forth and fit as many lights as u can under the turkey pan hood, i did it for vegging 2 plants and they exploded...cfls have garbage for light pentration so as they get taller then u can do some cheesy side lighting if u wish...

Ten dollars gets u a 8 or 10 light fixture vanity light.. Wire it to a grounded plug set another $10..
If you get the parts I will personally teach u to wire it on skype.. Or youtube

yo maz, haha,i thought i was the only one doin that! i used a y and plugged 2 y's into that, bam! you got 400w of cfl blazin down for pennies, you gotta get the ones with the square bumps,i put 6 of em in an arch with a 1000w in the middle very effective!

another good one is the pull chain light socket with 2 outlets on the side,i screwed 3 together, and put splitters in each socket staggard, like a chandelier of cfls, nice for hanging between plants

also a simple 4 ft powerstrip with splitters, works well on trays of clones
