I am happy with them, for sure.
Again, I have more wattage and lumens than every before.
Every grow I use more bulbs.
On 8th grow now, and I am still learning.
Biggest mistake I made this grow was using two OLD bulbs, My new Light Meter told me that they are still lighting up, but not putting out any light or lumens.
A CFL bulb is only good for two grows, max.
And no matter how much wattage and lumens you have, CFLs do not penetrate deep, not even the 105 watt bulbs. This MIGHT be my last CFL grow. I am considering HIDs and Venting in the ceiling.
I will still get 16 ounces of dried manicured buds tho.
2nd biggest mistake was I let a bulb and reflector fall right in the middle of my biggest plant and I lost 5 major branches or limbs! It still have 8 remaining limbs tho.
3rd mistake was I used one used tube, (I bought 25 ft of new tube and I needed 26 feet) and letting the tube fall off the hub and I lost a baby sprout.
4th mistake was letting the water pump stay in a week too long and it was full of trash. I am using water pump filter bags on all my future grows.
I am pushing feedings to the max, and I have 1/32 inch yellow tips on almost every leaf.
They are still very healthy and growing fast!

for sure cfl's rock. i used them to veg my plants and could not be happier. i was going to use them to flower too, and then started comparing lumens. since i had the system laying around i couldnt go wrong switching to the hid. this cool tube thing is great roseman. i had the same hid setup using a light hood that was ventilated, and the temps were a lot higher than the cooltube i just put in. ill never go back.
i had my hid setup for sale a few monthes ago when i was using cfl's...i had no bites so i used it. today i got a call for the hid setup, and had to tell him sorry, im using it. im glad i didnt sell it. and if i ever do, ill upgrade to a 600 or more.

Growing many times teaches you alot, although I never stop learning. and being an OLD stoner, I do forget a lot too.
One thing I have learned over time is the plants with multiple upward branches are the biggest yielders. I one got 6.9 dried manicured buds off of one plant that had 13 major tops.
Here you see the remains of the giant producer, plus a medium, and a runt. The Medium gave me 3 and half ounces, runt gave me one.

You can supercrop like MC,(or as I like to call him, Master Crunch! lol) or simply lst, like roseman said. I LST my girls and it works great. just tie the branch down a few inches down from the top.
you'll have to give us a full report, I'd like to try some different nutes as well. but im scared.

i up the lights and tyed her down
i now have 7 32 watts 2700k and 1 of the big 65 flower bulbs @the top
and 4 32 watts 2700k on bothsides,and im moving around the big 6500 veg bulb
is ther enough or do i need more?

I cant believe it i have been talking about Advanced the last few times ive posted and it seems to fall on deaf ears or blind eyes. Im going on my second grow with them and I just harvested yesterday, my others are 13 days in flower and i already have buds forming. No need for ph or tds meters. follow the formula and go. Roseman just wait till you use there additives. Im getting rhino skin, revive and voodoo juice this grow and i already use bud blood, big bud, and overdrive. Im also upgrading to aa 1000 watt lumatek and air cooled hood. Right now im fighting spider mites though. Fall is when spider mites migrate inside everyone so be careful. They blindsided me. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE!!!!

I have ladybugs (not harmfull and someone to talk to in the grow room) but only one or two at a time for now and they don't stay in the room long before they turn upside down and go to buggy heaven! Home Defense to the rescue! They have been bad in my area this year. By the way never crush a ladybug. Smells like a fresh turd!

Dude everytime i open my front door its like a wall of lady bugs. WTF! at least the sun's been out all week.

We must live in the same general area! One of them took a ride all the way to Mother in law's house (35 miles) yesterday. She bugs me so I thought I'd bug her back! The nursing home is using it as a pet! LOL!

CHKN - I am with you 100%. Going with a 1000w digital and air cooled hood.
And sorry about the spidermite issue my man. Hopefully you have some neem oil laying around. Good luck man !

Im extremely happy I think it might be around 8- 10 oz dried,and cured. It was only 2 plants!! I have 5 in week 2 of flower right now. And s for the mites. Ive taken my tent down and im leaving it in the garage cuz its cold in there and tomorrow im washing it down and pretreating with some spectraside. I also have so no-pest strips in case they try to make comeback! I have also used alchohol and water and dont bug me. Those little bastards are troopers!! Im treating the outside also! I got some on my new clones also
But They won a battle but im going to win the war!!! I heard that rhinoskin from AN is a silicate and makes your plants stronger than shit and the mites cant really feed from them?

I was looking to buy some lady bugs but the nurseries say its to cold!! Im limited on the things i can do cuz i got kids and dogs!

Wow! That's a great yield and your got reinforcements on the way. Never had a bug problem per say. One or two show every once in awhile but the pretreating finishes them off fast.
I think that's one of the reasons they come into the house. Warmth and water, what more could a bug want! Ladybugs are too cold to ship now. They die around 40 degrees. Or so I was told when I tried to buy them about 2 years ago.
