I hope this is going out side ? if its inside you will not get any light past 2 foot of growth you will need side lighting best to put the plant in the middle of the room use 3 lights on the sides 3 600 watt hps . if your floating the lights above impossible with out bending that plant over and you will only get buds on the first 2 foot depth all the bottoms will not produce actually hinder your yield . idk your plant # I would cut 1 foot clones off that plant and grow many instead of 1 . its a nice plant indeed lot of veg time .

For your next round of growing I would recommend looking into LowStressTraining to help even out your canopy. That way you can have a 1 foot tall 8 foot wide plant that will produce higher quality and quantity of bud due to light availability and less energy wasted on larf. ( the plant below is in a 30 Gallon pot in a 4ishx4ish tray )

Lol 7' tall and only 2' around, I don't know how you managed that. I grow 7' tall trees inside but they end up like 10' around.

"Hey guys is this ready to flower?"

Grats on the HUGE plant though. And I thought when my plant got up to three feet it was crazy haha. Is this an outdoor plant or inside? How tall is your grow space?
It's an indoor, I have a flower room with a lifted ceiling, and the plant stretched to the perfect height to where it barley fits under the light, I'm lookin into getting some lights to throw on the side of the plant

I'm not looking for an absolute monster yield just as long as I get a satisfying amount. I just like to push myself to new challenges and I figured, why not grow a 7ft indoor tree haha

UN less it's put out doors you will only get good yeild from top 2/3 ft .pull the sides down, that way it will increase the end result.i can see 5 foot of fluffy buds and 2 ft of dence nugs, great to see though would be great if you could get her out doors,if it reverted back to veg, there would be birds nesting in it
Well if I threw her outside, she would qualify as a tree right? :bigjoint:

Not sure why you think growing a tall plant means bud rot?
I think the implication is that particular plant has very little airflow and seems crowded which could result in PM / Bud Rot. especially with low light conditions at the bottom in combination with the high humidity of the summer months.

Well I guess if you were to do a vertical grow with the bulbs in the center you could avoid the bud rot, however that plant is not currently set up for that and I highly doubt that we are talking about vertical bulbs here. Generally when doing a vert grow you also have things cleaned up on the outside of the light zone, likewise just using a generalization you also would be using some sort of training. Also for the record, plants that are in veg until they are in the 7ft range generally are more vulnerable to things like bud rot just in general due to the lack of good air flow. I guess I'll need to check out the vertical growing section though to brush up on what I'm talking about. ;)

Generally, understandable. But the only thing for my setup that could cause rot is the lighting conditions, which I'm working on getting vert lights. Should be no issues
