70hps with a timer?

Hi i have just wired up my 70w hps. Can i use a standard 13 amp plug timer? like you would for a lamp. just wastnt sure because of the low watage

I think a regular timer is okey , like the 13 amp one..Where did ou get your 70HPS ?

he still has some left if u want one they are only £55 with ballast blub and refelctor

i know somebody who runs 4 70w hps off one off the shelf timer... worked out for them so far

thanks dude good to know, its in my loft so last thing i want is a fire. im so nearly finished with my setup. just wating for my climate controler to turn up. along with the tube heater. i still need to run elctrics but i want the circit built befor i conect it to the mains so that wil be the last thing i do because then i can add more sockets if needed.
