Heya!
I'm currently growing with cfl's in my server PC ( 17x8x25,6 ) and I'm wondering if it is possible to upgrade it to 70w hps with remote ballast with only one restriction...that it is soundproofed as much as possible.
Below,I made a little drawing of how it would look but because I have none experience with hps bulbs I have no idea how much do they heat up.
The outside looks does not matter,it only has to be as silent as possible and that is hard because pc fans get quite noisy at high rpm so I was thinking of using insulated duct hose for fans. Can anyone confirm that they really soundproof the sound?

Any advices and ideas are very welcome!

Thanks!

Looks good to me...Get a PC Fan controller and hook all the fans up to it to have them all go at the same speed...you won't need to drag shittons of air through it using a small cooltube for the 70watt HPS as the air will get replaced rapidly even at low RPM's :)

About the cool tube. Would it be better to use the standard cool tube (the one big enough for 120mm fans) or the 'bake a round' cool tube wich is 3 1/4 wide ( 80mm fans)?
