Lazy grows equals lazy harvests.
I also grow in coco and love it! I would agree with you on popping the beans and letting them grow if they were grown under the sun!

but not indoors under artificial lighting, especially with 6 to 7 weeks veg.... just a waste in my opinion.

As an FYI I do train my plants. Usually either top them or manifold them.

But again small amounts of training doesn’t take too long and generally can be done while I’m feeding and removing drain water.

Not lazy in the slightest. Minimum effort for maximum satisfaction.

I’m not doing high production. I’m doing me.

I’ve done the whole over thinking thing. Buying all the fancy tools etc.

I use an EC truncheon and pH my feed solution.

I have Epsom salts and both mono Ca and Mono Mg supplements should I need them.

Just because I have better things to do with my time than spend hours in my garden tinkering, I’d rather be spending time with my wife and kids.
Not sure where you are going with all the supplements?
If your concerned about loosing time with your wife and kids then maybe grow smarter?
Automate things as much as possible and spend that little bit more time filling out your canopy, use that scrog net, monitor and adjust your environment and I wouldn’t be surprised if you doubled your yield as opposed to planting a seed and letting it grow!?
this may mean for the little extra effort when growing you can have a lot more yield and may enable you to not grow for 6 months of the year, and you save on power etc.

Sorry if I have given the wrong impression. Wasn’t my intention. Just sounds like you’ve given up a little And thought if you give scrogging a go your yield and quality might go up like it did for me some years ago.
After all that’s why we’re on this forum isn’t it? To help And support each other and get help when in need...?
Anyway, best of luck for your future grows and give scrogging a go If you have the time to try it. You may be pleasantly surprised :lol:

Also 1-4 weeks from seed to achieve a 6oz plant doesn’t really add up.

good plant training
Making the most of usable light
Feeding correctly
Providing a controlled environment

4 weeks veg doesn’t really account for much training work to be done.

i veg and train for approx 6-7 weeks and then flower for approx 65-80 days of 12/12 from switch depending upon strain im growing.

I consider myself a decent grower using a 400w and I can max at 5oz a plant approx.
He’s right, after I got a tent run in this year I realized it simply comes down to how many big branches you can attain in a small amount of space , trained in properly. I did two 3 packs of Barney’s in a 5x5 , little over 3oz each off my best pheno’s in the pack only got 1/3 keepers in each pack so.. when u run from seed u won’t always get winners keep that in mind and I was on a time limit so I flipped the lights after day 31 from sprout too. I’d say around 50 days from seed could produce a half pound plant no problem that’s what I’m imagoning myself doing this fall, six 5 ounce plants would be nice
