I have a poly (black/white) mylar setup for my ladies and I was wondering if I use a dual 400W system, would it be too hot?

Average inside temperature 70 F

Dimensions: 6l by 4w by 8h

Air venting: Intake on the bottom corner and exhaust on the opposite top corner. The intake air will be the air in the hallway, right outside of the room where windows will be open, people chilling around (releasing CO2).

I was thinking, since I am a prop 215 card holder, that I would do 12 plants instead of six since my area allows for 12 flowering plants.

Anyway, I was thinking if a dual 400W system would be too hot for my grow room?

i'm no expert, but i cant see why it wouldn't work - especially in cool tubes. I've got a 400w cooltube in a tent that is only 3'x1.5'x6' and heat is not a problem. Checkout my grow if ur interested https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/192350-400w-stealth-closet-tent-8-a.html

i had been using a single 400w for budding in a 4ft x 2ft x 6ft high closet, but recently swapped that area out for my vegging. now im wondering the exact same question as you, because i have a grow area damn near exactly the same as yours (4ft x 7ft x 7ft high) and im using fans and an open door for ventilation. the temps are staying low currently, but summers coming and its gonna be hot and humid as hell soon and i really dont feel like installing a whole ventilation system.

right now my single 400w HPS keeps my flowering girls right around 75, with two pc fans aimed on them and a large fan just circulating air in the room.

lol, that unfortunately doesnt answer ur question though.
just dealing with the same issue

I'm going to do two DIY cooltubes for my setup.... i was wondering if how to connect the tubes up to my main vent system. Do I just use a serial tube that connects both lights... but the second light won't get as much cooling. I'm confused about the cooltube connections.
