Hey good people :) Have had 2 plants going and want some advice please! Been watering every 3/4 days and added some nutes on Sunday (NPK - 14-10-27). I'm growing with 4000 lumens roughly (66w in total). They have been under 12/12 for almost 4 weeks and pistils started showing about 2.5 weeks in. The strains are a random haze seed I had from bag and The Ultimate by DutchPassion. Am I on track? I'm a newbie so help! :p

I can assure you you need more light quick to get much of anything, 33W/plant isn't going to cut it.

How about pics of the whole plant, preferably not under HPS light

They're sleeping at the moment. Will post full pics later :)

I know I say 66w but it's 280w equivalent though.. Does this not matter? I'm not looking to grow pounds of the stuff. Just maybe half an oz to an oz per plant. I would get that within the next 6 weeks no with what I have no?

Also I don't have HPS I have them under CFL..

the equivalent means nothing  I doubt you can get that much with only 66watts. hard to say without seeing the whole plant but def need more light .
other then that it looks great man . regardless of how much you get in the end you will learn a lot from doing it and better your results for next time

No, what matters is you actually are only providing 66W. 280 equivalent doesn't mean anything.
Okay could you suggest a solution please. Also does lumens not matter either? 4000 lumens on 2 plants still not enough? Why wouldn't this amount work if I'm already seeing buds swelling

Actually I have a pic from Friday that I took of the full plants. They've gotten way hairier since though.

And I'll get a better pic up later when they're not sleeping.. Thanks for helping :)

Get a shop light. pretty cheap and will do a lot better job then those CFL's. also, next time you grow try to create an even canopy

I'm surprised that's as big and green as it is with such little light. I'd deffinitly throw in some more light dude.

i see no buds on that plant, maybe preflowers, but no buds, def not swelling, you need more light, aim for 5,000 lumens per square foot. also look at the sticky thread on the top of the cfl section, your going to have a rude awakening if you plant to finish those under those lights.

Here's some more pics. I thought the tops were bud. I thought anything with the pistils was bud tbh.. I've read quite a few people on here who have flowered with CFL so I thought this was possible no?

Also I'm giving them 13/11 lighting as of today.. starting their 5th week flowering today so I thought I'd change it up from 12/12 and give them an extra hour light. You guys reckon this is okay to do?

I would not be fucking with the light schedule. If anything you should decrease the lights ON time but not at this point. Your biggest concern is getting more light, way more light, and and getting those lights as close to the plants as possible.

Nice looking plant from only 2 cfls, defo get some cfl in there and you should get some buds.
2700k bulbs should help it flower.
gud luck

Right on, adding more daylight hours will switch the plant back to veg!

Just invest in some more lights and CAREFULLY start training the plants to even the top canopy or whatever you can do so there is less height

those plants are stretched due to not enough light...

Quick solution for ya: go to Home Depot and buy some Y-Splitters for light bulbs, as well as a bunch more cfls....Remember to use 2700k for flowering with some 6500k added in for a nice mixed spectrum...a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio would work.

Keep the bulbs close to the plant like 1 to 2"

I have 100w/6000lumen total cfl now. Is this okay? This will create buds? It's 4 weeks since I switched and 2 weeks since pistils started. How many more weeks until I harvest (roughly saying) ?

You will get buds- that you can see through. Insufficient lighting=loose, airy buds. You are not alone in your struggles my freind. I too am battling with getting more light into my space. The budget is whats killing me, so fucking broke right now. Listen to the advice and decide what will work best for you. Good luck freind!
