63% humidity?

no clue

Well-Known Member
So I have been curing for a month, plant was hung till the stems almost snapped..then paper bag for a couple days..then into jars. Hygrometer gave readings in the upper 60s. Now, weeks later I am at 63 and it has stayed there a couple weeks. I still burp the jars daily. Thing is, I prefer it just a bit dryer. Question is; do I lay it out on a screen for a few hours? or is it doing what its supposed to and I should stay the course. It is in my basement which is cool, dark and has dehumidifier going so humidity is 45 all the time.

After a few weeks you can leave the jars open longer or put it on a screen. If you still want the cure to go keep the RH above 55%. longer is better. But if your ready to store it bring it down to 40% over the next few days.

I have that issues sometimes a few hours outside the jar on a screen or card board box open does the trick. It requires constant checking though, because it can drop past 55 in a quick hurry and suck all the moisture out of the middle that is left, and you then have tumble weed smoke, which crumbles to dust when you grind it.
