60watt NOW!

Im using a regular 60 watt light on just 2 feshly sprouted seedlings...do these have any effect...its really close to the setup and everything. im gonna be growing outdoor when it warms up a little. anyways please help me guys!!!

if its an incandescant (regular bulb) you are wasting your time.

Go get the HIGHEST watt CFL you can, no less than 23 real watts, if you cant find higher get 1 for each plant, should do for a couple of weeks.

well i know its not the right kind of lighting but i was wondering if it can do anything to the plant right now? as far as helping the plant to grow and all? does it do anything?

yeah outdoor growing is the best......but i mean does regular lighting do anything beneficial for the plant!??!?!:confused:

Do not put a regular bulb anywere near your seedling..it will burn!
Regular wattage bulbs put off a lot of heat and will burn it to death.
CFLs is what you need,read this GROWFAQ
i get mine from home depot.

they dont put off much heat... and i got them a good distance away. but for lighting do they give the plants any to help it grow like sunlight?I know its not as good as the sun but still, can it do anything positive?

i know dude, but no one really lets me know if it gives it light really? I mean even though it may not be that much but does it still help to grow the plant??!?!

let me make this perfectly clear...they wont do a goddam thing for your plants except put off light they can read to,and keep warm.
nothing - nada - zilch !!!!!!!

Mr I Can Do That For Half
In cadescents are the wrong spectrum and dont offer anything to the plant.they produce alot of heat and arent benefitial.Go to walmart and get an $8 2 tube four foot shop light to veg then plants.

Are you willing to learn? We all told you that you need different lights. regular bulbs are way to far in the red spectrum and do no good for plants. Sure they might grow TALL(lack of light) but if you are to get anything out of that soon to be hermie/male lighting is a must.

Then start over when you have your own place, Not in High School and are old enough to take advice from others who have been in your shoes
