60Day Wonder + Hempy

So i am having difficulties fixing & determining what my problems are & if it is worth worrying about, for the one plant, go figure as to which one it is

Before i flush, i check my runoff and it sits around the 6.1 to 6.3 ph mark
I flush with 5.8 Ph'd tap water with a ppm of 400
My hempy bucket is 5L so i run 10-15L through it to be sure

I then feed them with FloraDuo and calmag - at a pH of 5.8 and ppm of 1100-1150 and let them do their buisness for 3days or more

I have on the side Yates Trace Elements Chelates that i have foliar sprayed with about 4 times since birth :P

The hempy contains 4 holes 2inchs up on all sides,
On the bottom up 2/3
On the top 1/3 i use hydroton

As for the growing space its a sealed environment (not air tight) with 2 oscillating fans for air movement which is plenty..

I have a vipar spectra led 300watt which puts out minimal heat (enough to keep the grow room nice and warm, not too warm)

The only thing i dont have is a humidity / temp check device.. which i will be purchasing within the week..

I had a feeling the grow room was getting a bit too dry so i put a tub of water in front of the fans to maybe increase humidity

I visit my babies daily also

I have done a shit load of research on various sites, using growweedeasy as my main supply of info, but cant seem to nail this problem on the head, which makes me want to get a humidty/temp device since its the only thing i dont have that will probably solve my issues seeming as though i dont know my humidity or temp -

any adivce would be great, thankyou

I had the same problem in my DWC system recently and I found my PH running to low and too much neutrients. I changed tank to my original setting of nutes etc and all is ok now.

It might work for you?

Cheers for the reply Smee23,

I will flush my babies, should i give them a day or 2 in plain ph'd water or go straight to standard/minimal nutes?
Im not looking to overdo my nutes i just want to grow them plain and simple

thanks

With regards to you not knowing temp / humidity. I don't think tht temp will cause the problem on the lower leaves more the from the top down.
I would of thought with humidity it would cover more surface areas of more leaves due to the size of the plant rather than being just located at the bottom.
My temps / humidity was spot on when this occurred on my plant.
However I could be wrong but works for me.

4th pic looks like spider mites, Get a cheap magnifier, 30x will do, and look under the leaves with spots.

Urgent help needed..

Not sure if its a boron or calcium problem.

Im stearing towards calcium problem because the growth underneath is all green with no problems, just the leafs which are receiving light

Being hempy what would be my best ph for calcium uptake?
its at 6 now but im thinking of going down to 5.5-5.8

Plz help ..

The plants them self seem stunted, everything is jam packed, would it be wise to trim some of the affected fan leafs off to let some light in to the new growth? or are the affected fan leafs still going to help the plant?

I just fed them 5ml FloraDuo Bloom and 15ml cal-mag with a ph of 6.4 for calcium uptake

my hard water was at 350-380ppm with a neutral ph of 6.9-7

thankyou steadyeddie

Just let it recover now, if you're in veg you could remove some damaged leaves. I ran in coco and I removed leaves hat were dead during veg. Try Ph in the 5.5-5.8 just to see how the plants responds. Sometimes it's good to have a PH swing

Yeah my ph first off was 5.8.. then i noticed the problem so i did some research and passive hydro they say the best ph for absorbing calcium is between 6.2 and 6.5?

btw they are 60day wonder auto flowers , threw out pistils about 10days ago

*edit* im waiting for the flowering to begin more vigorously which will make them stretch a bit and not be so jam packed, am i thinking right?

WOOOO! this is starting to help, they are looking alot better, altho the damage that has already been done makes them look bad ..

how long should i continue on with my 6.4ph % 5ml FloraDuo Bloom & 15ml Cal-mag?
btw the ppm was at 1500 (too high?, any suggestions since they threw out pistils 11-12 days ago)

I noticed that some of the damaged fan leafs were hindering light from the undergrowth, so i removed some of the badly effected fan leafs..

the undergrowth looks good, but the leafs are somewhat not formed correctly, either due to the past deficiencies or just not enough light being received?

they feel moist to the touch, not dry and crackly like the fan leafs i removed

how do they look? any suggestions?

Does anyone think there is a phosphorus deficiency going on?

Thanks Olive Drab Green,

No bugs around, cant see any under my microscope..

It could be nitrogen toxic because i was feeding more FloraDuo Grow more then FloraDuo Bloom which contains more N..

I m hoping that its still in the process of clearing up with Mag issues, since i last fed them with cal-mag and FloraDuo bloom.

Just fed my girls
PH: 6.3/6.4
FloraDuo Bloom - 15ml
FloraDuo Grow - 5ml
CalMag - 5ml
PPM- 1380
Tapwater PPM - 300/350

I use 1 gallon exactly and i'm sure half of the solution comes out the holes in the bottom of my hempy, giving me satisfaction i have soaked the perlite and filled the hempy with complete, new solution.

A few questions i need advice on..

I flush with tap water that is 6.9/7ph, that seems to be ok?
I tend to just turn the hose on and water them for 2-5mins to get a good flush, is that ok?

I don't feed them plain PhD water, i always give them a basic nute solution according to the FloraDuo label, should i give them plain PhD water in between or just stick to my method?

They seem to be chugging along fine now, i did realize i stuffed up my vegetation formula i'm guessing that is why i had problems beforehand.

Any feedback welcome, thanks
