600w MH/HPS or 1000 HPS?

im wondering if i should go with a 1000w HPs for 179$ or the MH/HPS for 210$

I would go with mh/hps. i would use 600watts, they r the most efficient! all depends tho. Will u use it for veg and flowering? how big a room? how many plants?

Well the hps/mh kit comes with both,but i heard you cam veg with HPS. I have a 6x2kid green box i built onto a table and i will only be using these for jalepenos until around april.however when Its time,i believe that 6 to 10 ladies will fit.
I mean,i dont think id have to flower in it. But id like the option,incase things change. Would i have to buy a separate MH system?

I'd go with the 600 , I veg and flower with hps and get great results. I'd rather get 2 , 600 then 1 , 1000watter

Hps can work for vegg and flowering. easyer to cause no bulb change when ducts and fans r hooked up. if u plan to vegg then move them outside u could fit like 20 little girl in 20oz party cups to give them a great start. remember to Hardin them off before planting outside or the strong elements can kill them. use a fan on them for a strong stem, they will thank u. plus indoor in the summer means ac unit to keep temps down and that's a expensive pain in the ass.

I also agree with other guy 2 600watts way better

I'll be the contrary person. Get a 1000 W and dial it down. You'll grow into it. Nobody has ever said "Damn, I wish I'd bought a smaller light".

Get an adjustable 1000 W

Thanks for input guys! Yes,my main use will be for prepping to grow outdoors. But if i do go with the 600 watt,would i be better off with the hps or the mh? I know yhe spectrum thing,buy apparently its when you have a strong enough HPS?

I'd say if your growing out side and using the light as a preseason starter a 600 is what I'd use, cheaper in cost if just being used for vegging and I'd use a full spectrum bulb since your going to plant outside b4 fall.

Hps is just fine. in fact all i use.
