600w in small tent

would a 600w be ok in a 2 x 2 x 5.2 grow tent with a cool tube and what size fan would i need

It is possible to do but it's pointless. I would look at 400 or even a 250 in that space.

I use a 600 in a 4x7x8 feet closet. But actually only use a 3x3 area for growing my plants. The rest is for my other equipment. Pumps air lines oscillating fans dehumidifier etc.

Like I said its possible but overkill for the space.

Dude that would be legit. I Think 400w would be a better route to go. I have the same tent size and a 400w is seriously pushing it and is PLENTY of light for how ever many plants you want in there. There is such a thing as too much light, you can bleach a plant if you give it too much, so I'm not sure if a 600w would be the best idea. If you have done the math and research and that light still works than awesome, I', just giving you a heads up.

For the fan I would say if your going to have a carbon filter I would roll with either a 170cfm to 200cfm inline fan to make sure that heat doesn't get out of whack. You don't need a massive one because your not working with that big of a space.

This is exactly the setup I'm running. I inherited the 600w so I'm using it in my 2x2x7 tent with a 205cfm exhaust fan, a 50 cfm 4" inline fan for intake, all 4 side ports open with 4" duct work hanging out of them for light filter. My hood is able to be air cooled or not. I need to get the glass for it so I cans fan cool it next time. That will allow me to get way closer than my current 18-24 inches. With the tent way overcrowded at 15 in flower(here take these situation) they are doing great. I will be doing 4 or 5 next time still using the 600w. So yeah, it'll work just fine if you set it up right. Might still be overkill bit I'm proof it works.

Edit: Just reread OP, I read 2x4. Damn stoners! 2x2 not without way more airflow and climate control than I have.

yer iv got a 400 atm and temps are at 24c with a 4inch fan and a cool tube im thinking if i get a 5 inch fan ill be able to cool a 600w and im from the uk so would you be able to put the cfm in to m3h as thats wtas on the fans hear i could use my 4 inch fan as in take as well

eta my tent will fit up 2 6 inch ducking so i would be able to get a 6 inch but my cool tube is only 5 inch

You need something that kicks over 480m3h.


I use the RVK150L1 660m3h with speed controller in my room and temps stay below 26C at canopy.

I use a 200quid reflector not a 40quid cooltube.

I have a 2'7" x 2'7" x 5'11" tent, and i use a 400w. I feel like its plenty. I think it would be real hard to keep your temps down in your tent with a 600w light. Plus you've got 2'x2' yes? so a 400w light would give you 100w per sqft, which is killer awesome. Most people call that overkill, but i feel like its perfect. With the 600 watter your at 150w's per sqft, and thats where i start to feel like you could be wasting the light and money, even if you could keep the temps down. Just my 2cents.

the fan i was thinking of getting is a 6 inch at 600 m3/h would that work with a 600w and has any one seen when to much light starts to bleach plants and how mach lpsf was it at

Go for it. There's no such thing as too much light, fuck that. The more the merrier. I would get a dimmable ballast though. If you can't keep it cool you can always bump it back down to 400w.

Ill probably try it when my current grow is done and if I can control the heat ill build a veg chamber in my wardrobe so ill have 2 rooms and heaviest every 2 mouths

I went back to White Widow. The WR was awesome, but nothing compares to this DP White Widow.

i got 3 600 watters in a 5x5,temps at 81fyou can doit

that's only 11400 lpsf thats about what i got atm wit a 400w relay want a 600w tho then i can have a veg and flower room

come on some ones got to have a 20000 lpsf flower room
