HTGs digital greenhouse is far far far from the same as a lumatek. I own both and there is absolutely no comparison. Digital greenhouses are much much hotter and louder.
Personally I would spend the extra 100 on a lumatek for just the noise. My HTG ballast buzzes, has a fan noise, and the case clacks. My lumatek is absolutely silent.

i just get scared about ordering stuff on ebay. i feel like a lot of the kits are cheaply made and/or unreliable. but again idk.

It is a Chinese knock off - same quality as the HTG ballast but not of the same quality as Lumatek or Gallaxy.
id rather spend the few extra bucks and have something reliable. not putting your idea down by any means!!

naw ebay is fine... been around awhile.. just make sure too read before purchasing item. I never had problems and I bought 3 different kits from ebay.ca but this brand IPOWER i would have to say to avoid unless someone else has used them before as i never seen them before fellow grower

is there a huge difference in bulbs?? like lets say i go with a cheap bulb...whats the difference in them?

Go with lumatek or Quantum.... I always say I am too poor to buy cheap stuff... I have found out the hard way buying some peice of crap item and having to buy a good one later, costing me almost twice as much.....

Pretty big difference in bulbs. The industry standard use to be the Hortilux which are expensive as fuck. I seem to have had better results the the Lumatek bulb but I hear good things about the digilux as well. Biggest difference is the spectrum the light produces - how much usable light versus just how much light.
Supposedly bulb age and manufacturer can improve yield 5-15%. With a 600w light you should be aiming for ~9-12oz. At 10oz 10% would be an entire ounce - well worth the extra $30 imo.
