Your little ones are looking good! My power went down for 48 hours and temps dropped to under 50 so mine got a bit shocked - definitely think yours look a bit ahead. I repotted today and half of mine were ready for it and the other were a bit premature. Wet your new soil down in their pots far ahead of transplant to minimize stress - transplanting into soaked soil is never appreciated (although I did this to a couple of mine today).

Again, looking great and right on schedule.

You could get some chains from homedepot. It's cheap, I got 8ft for $4..

Oh I have chains lol, my question was height wise, running a 600w hps at 50 or 75% so 300 or 450w hps how high above my plants should I hang it?

Ha.. I guess I overlooked the word "high". Air-cooled hoods can be placed a few inches over the canopy, I'd say just place your hand at the canopy for about a min. and see if it's hot, if it is the light is too close. Also I guess since they are young you don't need too intense of light, try between 8in - 1ft

With my fan running at the lowest I can get it my canopy temps are 65 degrees running 400w ~10" above the canopy. I switched it to 600w and temps didn't really fluctuate so as long as you are pulling enough air you can get your light pretty close. I can sit there touching my glass and it is just barely warm so you might be able to get closer than 10". Another consideration might be how large of an area you need it to cover. The larger the area the higher you're going to want to hang it.

I have no experience with sunshine mix #8. From what I understand it is a mostly soil-less medium (there is very little sand, silt, and clay and is mostly organic material). It has lime added for pH stability but I would assume you should run your water a bit more on the acid side of the soil spectrum. (soil is generally 6.5-6.8 whereas hydro and soil-less mediums run 5.0-5.8 )

Thanks man for the info, they're shooting up like crazy, cept 1 who is staying short with very tight internodes. I don't have an inline fan yet but I will vent the tent to my main room and put in a box fan to exchange air and put a desk fan blowing in at the bulb. I think it'll be ok.

Light came today and im very impressed with this ballast size and hood size, I hope it performs well. I will post pics after I transplant tommorow. What do you guys think If all of em are shooting up like quarter to half inch spaceing between nodes while the other 1 seed from a different bad is staying short obvious production of leaves in the nodes and tight gabs like eighth to a quarter inch per node perhaps indica dominate while the others are sativa?

Let me start by sayin thanks to everyone following me and supporting this grow.
Geared up yall my hopeful ladies are looking amazing. Temps post 600w are kinda high 80-82 im only running it at 450w so the can filter and fan are the last things I need but I rigged a fan blowing the hood for now ill be making that purchase in 2 or 4 weeks we will see when I need scent protection.i also have a box fan pointed upwards blowing right on the hood to dissapate the heat upwards. Transplant was hopefully a success Ill be able to tell you in a couple days. Also a dog pic haha.
Lemme know what you think I just watered with chlorine evaporated water today Ill probably feed next watering with light nutes, I have 11 in FF/OF on the right and 10 on the left in Sunshine 8.
It always rearranges my pics so Ill just tell you whats in there, plant shots, gear shots, and my setup...lemme know what you think

EDIT: I got my temps under control by moving some stuff around. (fans and stuff blocking airflow) although still runnin 78+

short little update, So i have 1 plant goin from a diff seed, it was more of a heavy indica and i started 3 but the other 2 were failures in my book so were discarded, this one is 3 days ahead of the rest and staying short and squat, very sexy, please let her be a female imma top at about 7 and lollipop this one . As for the others they were what I expected stretching and gapping between nodes, however the leaves seem larger and thicker than reg sativa leaves, ill be able to tell more in 2 weeks after sexing cuz the first 9 to show are going into 3s and the others well some might get finished out in the 1 gallons once i find sex and transplant ill take clones of all my keepers incase something good actually happens :p, space will determine this cuz as soon as im full im goin to 1212. Temps are runnin at about 75, this is amazing to me considering the warmer days we have been having and the small regular desk fan I have cooling it.

little update, i took pics a couple day ago and never posted i will be posting them first. then editing and adding the ones from today. I fed heavy last night and the sunshine mix crew didnt really show the explosive growth i was hopeing for whereas the ocean forest crew is leading the way with foliage production. The first pics are pre feeding, also i think the sunshine mix bunch may be showing some sort of ph imbalance so i will be flowering all of em in ocean forest and getting rid of this sunshine after this stage. 2011-03-04 09.20.16.jpg2011-03-04 09.21.26.jpg2011-03-04 09.19.39.jpg2011-03-04 09.19.51.jpg2011-03-04 09.19.59.jpg2011-03-04 09.20.08.jpgso heres the edit, i have a group shot and the 10 on the left with scotch tape on the buckets are sunshine 8 and the 11 on the left without are ocean forest, mind you it has only been a day after feeding the sunshines may catch up but im not really stressing it too much. i still may give the sunshine advanced number 4 a go after this run just to see for cost effectiveness and quicker draining, btw it takes about 2-3 days for my of mix to dry 2-4 for the sunshine more towards 4
also anyone have anything to say about their little bit of leaf curl, is that genetic or am i possibly doing alot of shit wrong lol. i have never grown soil so i dont know

Looks like underwatering to me, and the leaf margins flaring up is heat stress. Have your plants wilted recently because they got too dry?

If you have any pH issues you should really amend, or top dress, with dolomite lime.

Generally when I experience wilt it is due to over watering, high heat/humidity, or underwatering in that order.

Overwatering is what I was thinking, ill give em a few good days to let em dry out and no I havent let em get too dry. What do you think about the of and sunshine comparison? Noticeable to yall too or just me?
And I lso did a sucessful test run. I sealed up my tent and turned my ballast up to 600w, temps stayed an even 80 degrees, I think as long as I dont hit 85 ill be good my max has been about 83.6 min 63, depending on the warmer days.

day 2 of 1212 for sexing, plants are looking awesome ocean forest is still beating sunshine 8 in pretty much all aspects, i have 2 plants that kinda compare with the of batch. well pic time I took some yesterday and 2 day, the side view is from today and the group shot with them more spaced out is from today. enjoy.
also what amount of time is reccomended I wait once i know sex and throw em back
into veg after I transplant?
also Im running my lights at night to combat temps i think my max was 79 and my minimum was 66 but it said max humidity was 82%...wtf anyone know anything about this?2011-03-08 21.08.27.jpg2011-03-08 21.08.11.jpg2011-03-08 21.13.43.jpg2011-03-09 07.26.13.jpg2011-03-08 21.08.36.jpg2011-03-09 07.26.01.jpg
