Sorry I missed the question last time I was posting. I didn't realize that they where both on 24/7. Forget the duct tape. lol.Not following you, "divide off the bottom half"? Both lights run 24/7, if that's what you mean..............two 2x4 E&F trays that run off the same reservoir.
Glad to hear you like the grow. I would put about 42 plants in and then get rid of them from there. I think you will find that you are just going to have 6 good plants lying around, but better that than an empty space. I like the coco as a medium. I think in the next year I am going to do a recirculating flood and drain with Hydrofarm "Emily Pot's" (just under 6"x6") in a 3'x3' using Hydroton. Rotation would be limited but it would be so fucking easy and automated. I think that finishing with more than 4 to a square foot at this height is getting out of control. To be honest I am pushing the envelope with 4 per at that height. I think it would be fun to flower 100 or so 2" clones in little 3 or 4 inch pots.....but I would use multiple 400s. I have no facts or references only some ideas. I am high....I think I answered everything......Man that's the best 600w grow I've seen. I've got my own idea going, I've got 2'x1' trays and I fit 18 planter cups into each. 9 per square foot. The planter cups hold about 16 ounces of grow medium each. I'm thinking of taking a bunch of cuttings and similar to what you've done weed out the best 36 and growing them. I figure with proper rotation and proper medium this should work pretty well. Why not try this I mean the worst that can happen is that the plants grow too close together, but I can't see that effecting anything really. What do you think? I guess the question is how many plants per square foot is a maximum and what can be referenced for this?
I'm shooting for 144 plants in my 4x4 tray next run, which is exactly what the above poster was referencing.Glad to hear you like the grow. I want to know final dry wt. Also let me ask how many days was it from putting them in to harvest?I take it all the way down when I cut. I take the big fan leaves off a few days before the chop.
On another note, the buds have already shrunken down to half the size in the picture. I have been smoking popcorn buds I dried in the oven. I really really feel the high in the frontal lobe area. I keep falling asleep. lol.
