well, i kept replying to a thread i started awhile ago with updates. then decided to go ahead and make a grow journal.
anyways, im using a 600w MH bulb for the moment, and have a 600w HPS waiting. 600w dimmable ballast with air cooled/sealed hood. the room we are using is about 4 foot wide/6 foot tall/5 foot deep (when looking in through the door).
exhaust consists of a 240cfm centrifugal fan (i think) mounted outside of the tent. connected to a T shape duct piece. the bottom part of the T is where the charcoal filter is at, and the other end leads to the air cooled light, which runs to an inline duct fan that pushes fresh air onto the bulb, and the actual fan pulls it out. the inline fan says its rated 320cfm max boosted flow, and 150cfm regular flow. daylight temps are around 80F with humidity at 60>, night temps go to around 70-75F with humidity at 75-80. i think humidity is going to be a problem, so im going to be switching the exhaust so it stays on at all times. (instead of every other hour intervals as i do now). hopefully night time temps and humidity goes down.
i picked up 3 purple kush seeds from a buddy (2 popped), and one sour diesel seed (popped as well). the rest are bag seeds. im on my 10th day of actual veg under the 600w MH on a 18/8 lighting schedule.
for now, were using some MG seedling starter mix, with some perlite mixed in. not 100 percent on what kind of mix were going to use when we move them to their final pots though. we bought several bags of peet, and perlite. what else would be good to mix in with those two?
