Because HPS and MH are extremely inefficient and waste a ton of electricity in heat we spend money to vent outside. Leds arent there yet because of price and footprint but they will evolve as fast as computer chips do as will the price will come down also.

Thats the thing. Led makers say less heat is a big bonus, but most people will still have to buy an inline fan and filter anyway to vent the smells and get airflow, and also deals with heat. If you dont have to deal with smell and money isnt an issue then leds are perfect

im puzzeled as why you think people are newbs for growing multiple strains? I personally think its much harder to do at the same time and smoking the same one or 2 strains all the time doesnt cut it after a few months.

Well the problem with growing different strains is you don't really get the nuances for that strain until a grow or two. For instance I grew WW back years ago. I don't think I've ever grown an easier strain. She was basic and it was like no matter what I did I couldn't fuck her up (much) after about 3 runs I had her down to a science. Right now I am growing Jock Horror. On my first run I was doing some research and one guy on the nirvana sight was like don't top her, so I didn't well she didn't spread as well as I wanted her to (I use scrog). On the second run (right now) I topped one and crimped another and left the third on alone the topped spread nicely the crimped was even better and the regular one was the same as the first run. I also found that it is better to grow one plant per screen so I reduced my screens down from a 2 plant 4x4 to a one plant 3x3 with the crimped one and she is doing great. If I would have had several different strains under the screens I wouldn't have been able to run the control tests to get to the sweet spot with this one strain. I figure on the next run I am going to start experimenting with amino acids and see how much better one does with than without. Now I'm not saying this is for everyone. I am just saying don't fall in love with buying a billion different beans because it may be a waste. I watch the boards to see who likes what and when I get a chance I try different strains from others, if it is good I get some beans. I know that I will get up to my 4 strain max within the year (4 strains four screens) but by then I should no enough about each one to push out the best product around. BTW has anyone seen OG kush on nirvana lately. I went to search for it and couldn't find it. I hear she is a great yielder and the OG going around here just isn't that great, I know i could do a better job than these retards.
