Hey whats up? I am on my first grow similar to yours (600w, 4x4, soil grow) and had a fungus gnat problem from the start because the soil of the cloned plants was infested when they were given to me. They started multiplying so I got worried and got some advice from the local grow store. I put up sticky strips all over the tent and watered with Azamax (organic, soapy liquid that kills the larvae in 2-3 weeks). It is now 2 weeks later and no sign of them. The sticky strips took care of any adults and the Azamax took care of the larvae... problem solved. This is my first post hope it was helpful.

So I got the azamax and douched the soil with it and sprayed the hell out of the girls and put a bunch of traps out. I'm starting to think that the one blueberry I had that looked like calcium def was actually from the fungas gnat larvae destroying the root system die gnats die . The person that I got clones from said he's been having problems I checked his out yesterday and he has a nasty nasty fungas gnat infestation and he thought they were just fruit flies so I know where I got them thanks bro ...!!!!!! Next pic updates in 2 weeks

:mrgreen:How you doing with the pests? I would think if you douched the soil with azamax they'll be dead...although not sure I would have went about it that way. That may very well be the best, idk. I am completely hydro any more, so dont deal with many bug issues.
I did grow in soil for years before switching to hydro. I grew in FFOF such as I believe you are. I used all thier nutes and micros as well. I think I even tried cal-mag at one point, due to defs going into flower. I only used it once; it didn't solve my issues. I remember they were always looking too yellow(more than the norm) soon after switching to 12/12, something like that. I would just suggest that you may not need the cal-mag and not use it UNTIL you see defs. FFOF is very good soil, albeit hot, and if you get carried away with their nutes at all your going to burn your girls. Less IS better than more, imo, most certainly safer. Again, ffof is good soil on its own as is....all's you really need beyond that is big bloom(you could even call that organic, lol):hump:.

:!:Imo, you are set up very well, plenty of light, and you should have a great first harvest!:!:

Keep up the journel and pics!

So been a while since I posted but this grow has been interesting and I've learned a lot. Fiorst thing open sesame may premote earlier flowering or whatever but it doesn't cut down on the time it takes the plant to mature that's for sure . Today is day 66 of flip Idd say after looking under pocket scope the tricromes r 10 percent amber 90 percent cloudy on the trainwreck and a little less amber ones on the blueberry so I really would like to c them go another 10 days atleast . The tops of the plant look like they r a week and a half maybe 2 weeks more mature then the bottoms may have to harvest in 2 sections top then bottom . I would like to have most of the trichromes to be amber. It has been a challenge to keep the trainwreck branches from just falling over been towing up almost every branch as u can c in the pics . Also smashed my Hannah oh meter and got this new milwakee ph ppm metervmuch better and a lot more accurate. Got a new inline fan and a fan temp control . I will not be topping plants 2 times ever again indoors just take up way to much space . I had a battle with fungas gnats and some powdery mildew and calcium def . Lol this has been good I've learned a lot . The blueberries r starting to turn a blue hue can't tell from pics right now but hopefully soon . I will be doing things a bit different next go around . I have the stuff to mix up a super soil mix and I really want to try it .

Those pics were yesterdays pics and I just cliped a little sweet leaf and checked trics on trainwreck and man they r changing very quickly now about 20 percent amber . But I've noticed lots of new calyx growth just like popping out everyday they def r looking just about rdy but I'm gonna wait it out . Noticed on the blueberries they r just starting to have some of the calxys swell so the blues probly got 2 morevweeks and trains maybe another week or around that puting the trains around 72 to 75 days of 12 12 and blues may go to about 80 days . I got 2 c99 moms about 6 weeks old that I just took 10 clones off and I have 5 mango that i took a clone from each and have clones in a seperate 12 12 room so I can find out what mango r female . The c 99 I got were from female seeds I'm Hopeing they will be female since they r feminized seeds . The mangos that r 6 weeks old also r just looking so good nice and robust strong little plants I love the mango strain produces nice heavy buds yummy . So kinda jam packed at the moment but Cindy r on the right mangos all ones to the left of the cindys . And the clones r cindys .

So my question is when does the new calyx production stop like when everything is amber ? Cuz all hairs r pretty much Orange brownish but the new clad formations r with white hairs but seams like they get loaded with trichromes and hairs change color overnight .

So the 2 trainwreck were cut at 72 days of 12 12 and they r now in jars begining to cure. The blueberries r taking a lot longer then expected I'm letting those go to around 12 weeks give or take a few days they r very close but not close enough .2 trainwrecks yeilded about 9 to 10 zips between the two a lot more then I expected . In a few weeks I will have rough amount of all 4 . Anyhoo I got everything I ,,needed for supersoil and I'm useing roots organics soil as a base . I popped 5 mangos in bigger grow bags with super soil mix and those r now in ,the 12 12 box with the blueberries that r finishing . I'm very curious of how they will turn out read much about the mix and seen what it can produce . One thing I'm wondering I read the high times artical about super soil and subcool said in the artical that he uses that mix the whole way thru with "sweet equity" . Wondering what sweet equity is

So the blueberry I'm thinking might even go to 90 days I know pretty crazy for a indica dom strain but Dang they r just getting fatter every day that I look at them and not many trics amber . It seamed the top buds were maturing faster then the bottom then they kinda almost stoped and its like the plant is letting the bottom catch up . Lol I know they will be flushed of nutrients since last feed was about 20 days ago o well they r actually looking really good though I'm very surprised goes to show u all these expensive nutrients that r bud enhancers blahblah I'm starting to feel like its a big gimmick. This shit makes ur buds swell . Well buds swell either way at end of cycle . I'm glad I got turned onto basic organics from this site get right down to what the plant wants and needs I got my first bactch of supersoil in the 1212 box now and so far looking great and much easier now just h20 every 4 to 5 days with molasses and they r happiest plants I've ever seen . Thanks to subcool and the peeps from roll it up
