Nice looking plants! I'm on my first grow now while waiting on some fem. Master Kush seeds to arrive from Nirvana myself. :-)

Ok here's my input for what it's worth...

I now use slightly adjusted-PH RO water every since I learned the "hard way." I used tap water two times and both times screwed up my plants due to the PH being way too alkaline and locking out nutrients. I'm also thinking large amounts of calcium in the water and a PH of 7.6+ caused my issues. I check my tap water with a $5 PH tester with color key and PH drops.

So to bring down the PH of my tap water I used a 1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with one gallon of water. The PH dropped from 7.6 to 6.4-6.8!

I think that if you are putting significantly more vinegar in your water than that, it could be really bringing your PH down below the optimum 6.5-7.0 for soil. And since it's rainwater, perhaps it never needed adjusted PH because it was "nature perfect"?

But that's just my inexperienced opinion.

thanks for the info, I think my plants mostly the master kush had the problem you described here. I stopped using rain water during the grow and switched to tap, thats when I started using the vinegar. There was a huge storm a day ago so I got a decent amount of rain good enough for the next watering:lol: I think rainwater really gives best results at least in my situation.

Hows the smell on them bad girls? You cloning them? I urge everyone to build an $8 bubble cloner if you dont clone. Its THE BEST way to go, in my opinion.

Ya know, so I can come skoop some copies of the best one :bigjoint:

They are pretty stanky its great:blsmoke:, I was actually planning on buying a new carbon filter sheet. I tried cloning but it didn't work out to well. I wont be able to continue growing right after this grow. Probably get a new grow going next year. I have some big buddha blue cheese and vanilla kush fem seeds I plan on trying out asap. Those bubble cloners are pretty cool I was thinking of trying it out maybe next time around.

Its the only way to go. Clones faster than anything else Ive tried and I think Ive tried it all. Minus pure perlite and water. HAvnt tried that one.
Spend the $8 and clone away. It insures the survival of a possible life changing medicine

Well today is 52 days of 12/12. I messed up my timer so I while lights were off I took some pictures. Much better representation of the colour. You can see in a lot more detail the problems Iv had with the Master Kush, but for the most part I think everything will be alright. The blue mystic are the monster nugs being supported around back and Master upfront still.

Cant believe I made it this far I cant wait to chop these suckers and let them start drying. Not sure how much time is left but Id say the blue mystic will finish up first, atleast the monster colas. I was thinking of chopping them while continuing the lower growth in 2 weeks or so. If anyone has any suggestions with nutes, flushing or harvesting certian parts early please let me know. These few steps make all the difference and Id like to here what the community has to say.

54 days, got a 20x magnifier its the highest I could find close to me. Its a bit of a pain to see but I can tell for the most part my trichomes are clear. Here are some pics, a bit harder to tell but still cool to look at.:weed:

Hey great thread. I'm running MK too. A little ahead of you, Im coming up on day 70. Getting very heavy (some branches are falling) and the trichs are close to all milky. I may take a cola down today and let the rest keep going another week. Stay patient and let her go a little longer. MK and BM are resilient strains. I have some Blackberrys that are very moody girls. check out thinkgeek.com for cheap pocket micros for around 12 bucks. After you dry and cure let me know how the density of your BMs are, I found mine to be on the fluffier side. I used FF nutes to varying degrees of success. I know its sacrilege around these parts but I used MG bloom booster on my Kush and its the best looking plant I've grown to date. food for thought.

Thanks for stopping by, I have to agree with you there these strains are very resilient, they can take some serious stress, perfect for any grower in my opinion. The blue Mystic is getting so swollen and chunky I can see it shrinking right down when drying, or staying big and fluffy. I found a 20x micro for 6 bucks at a coin store in my area so I just bought it, its a bit hard to see right up to the trichs but its good enough.

Honestly the bad rep MG gets makes no sense to me. Maybe these strains are super resilient even from seedling but I popped these girls in MG potting soil for a 6 week veg and they looked amazing in my opinoin. The entire time they had a nice green and grew very quickly besides a little overwatering problem at first. I know most problems arise during flowering but I enjoyed the MG very much for vegging. Right now I have the Pro mix HP and I like it to but it seems harder to balance a nice amount of nutes with it while the MG was just easy as watering.

Can anyone help with a few hints with first auto grow,i know its 18/4 light schedule but need help with biobizz feed schedule, can u send message?

Ditto on the lime. Ive run soil. Not to much to bug out that as mentioned before. The soil acts as a buffer. Water in the area here tends to be high pH. When adding nutes my pH drops to the sweet spot for me.
If you are a purist you could try lime juice in the water to drop pH. Or non sulphur molasses. Taste better and smells better. Best option for cheap get pH up and down kit.

I have a nice natural lemon juice and some old super sticky unsulphured organic molasses lying around. Could these be used instead to lower PH? I was never aware of molasses lowering PH.

Also since I am almsot 9 weeks now I want to continue to keep out all chemical nutes. Yield is of no concern to me, just quality and taste so I actually stopped all nutes at week 7.
