6 plants advice needed

hello every one im in need of some guidance would this kit http://www.norfolklights.com/powerplant-daylite-hobby-complete-lighting-kit-with-lamp-p-989.html running with a 600 watt metal halide bulb ( swith to hps for flowering) be effiecient for growing 6 plants ? and this may be a stupid question but does the ballist run both types of bulb or do i need seperate ballasts? thanks in advance +rep for helpfull advice

Ya that will be fine. A buddy of mine has a 450 with a switchable ballast and grew 8 plants easy. I have a 250 and can do 4 medium size plants.

It depends if the ballast is switchable from MH to HPS bulbs. I glanced over your link and believe that it can use both. Some ballasts can and some can't, for instance mine does not. So I had to get a conversion HPS bulb since my ballast is meant for MH bulbs
