I'm under HPS so pics not too good.

Am I under fertilizing. The plants look good otherwise. No malformation of leaves. Just about half the tops of the plants are getting a real light green or yellow green.

Please opine. I'm a couple hours away from switching back to veg nutes and going full strength.

I'm under two 600 HPS for a 4x4 area. I know people tend to go under the charts recommendat ion but maybe with the lights they can handle it?

Ok thanks. It's an ordeal to switch the bulbs.
I went ahead and did a fresh res with the late veg nutes. I'll kick in the bloom on week 3.

Is the rest of the plant a good color,if so its just new growth, new growth is all ways light in color till it ages.

Add something like big bud or a early pk spike, for a couple of week.

hope dis helps tyke

I would of thought flipping back to veg nutes will just add more N and a lack of N is not your problem. more N will also slow up the flowering process. Does look like a slight burn on the tips. 2x 600w hps is a lot for a 4x4 area, more light forces a plant to uptake more nutes but that's not always a good thing.. Weird for week 3 of 12/12 I would expect to see them further along than they look though.
A pic without the Hps on would help.

New growth starts lighter than the rest of the plant if it's n levels are stable and healthy.

There is absolutely no reason to switch to "bloom nutrients" at all... The plant has merely switched gears into growing buds instead of foliage, the same nutrients are required. Nutrient manufacturers bank on this myth in order to sell products... Some of the most robust plants to are grown all the way from seed to harvest on plain dynagro or gh Lucas. Hell 10-10-10 Jack's will grow amazing plants all the way to harvest. You absolutely don't need special bloom nutrients.Huge cannabis plants grow in the wild... And you don't see the soil instantly changing when the plants start flowering. Stop force feeding your plants with huge amounts of phosphorus, it's just not required. A balanced npk formula in moderation throughout makes more sense for you and the plant.

You can't go wrong with 8/16 gh micro/bloom. It's a proven formula all the way to harvest, proven time and time again.

It looks ever so slightly burned, if anything, rather than under-fertilised. Can't really see anything at all with any accuracy because of the light. It's best to take your pics with just a regular light on, just before the hps comes on or just after it goes off. My white widows went very pale when we first added an additional 600hps to the one they had but they also looked sad and droopy in general from the stress, yours looks pretty good so I don't think it's that. It's probably best to stick to the recommendations on whatever fertiliser you're using for the stage your plants are in, start low and work it up to whatever the plant can take without showing any ill effects.

What are your temps? Sulfur is hard for plants to absorb at high temps. Wait till the lights are off and get a better pic if you want anyone to make an honest diagnosis.

Have this exact thing and came in here to try to figure out what could be wrong when i spotted this thread. Im also in early flowering, switched this weekend and ALL the tops are a lime green color. Upon inspection i notice nothing wrong at all so i guess its the stretch that has begun.

dtl420, what temps roughly, and does it give the same symptoms that we have ? Edit: Googled it and yea, it is similar, but there is a difference to what mine looks like. I see why you want a picture in lower light.
