So here goes running some auto's in a home built RDWC.
Planning on topping them when the time comes.
Soaked the seeds for a day in a light H202 solution.
Used rockwool cubes, soaked them in a 5.7 250ppm nutrient solution. Using chlorine @ around 3-5ppm to keep everything nice.
Put them under the LEC as soon as they sprouted.
I used a 4100k bulb this time for veg.

Tonight.
They all have one small root poking out the bottom. I am waiting to transplant until the cubes are well rooted.
When the rockwool cubes dry out, I just dip them into nutrient solution. Calmag and GH Three part 1:1:1 @ 200ppm.
I had lights on them from day 1.

I dipped them for the first time this morning since sowing the seeds, about 5 days since I put the cubes in the tray.
I used a ml each/gal of calmag and gh three part. 5ml of UC Roots to keep it clean. 200ppm @ 5.9. Made a gallon of solution, dipped the cubes in for a few seconds and put them back into the tray.
They all have a root or two out of the bottom but the big one has a "cluster" of roots coming out. I think I will transplant them to the system within the week.
Using an 18/6 light cycle for the whole time. It helps since it is cold af outside.

So 5 days into the system. I need to get better at transplanting. Not certain but either my PH got wonky or my RH was too low but for a day or two they looked like shit, but are now pushing out new growth pretty well.
Plant on the front right has a little tit of a white root poking out of the pot (explains why it looks the best), meaning it now has access to nutrient solution and not whats in the cube. This leads me to think PH but whatever. Stupid ass for overlooking that. Should see the same all around within a few days. The growth of an RDWC has proven to be quite.......explosive. Once the roots hit the water.
PPM is @ 170.
.75ml/gal of calmag/micro/gro/bloom.
Little shits.

I got sick of having to come home on my lunch breaks and adjust the fans so I obtained an Inkbird rh controller.
Works like a charm. My buckets naturally humidify the tent. In winter here, a single LEC will get my tent to about 77 max. I only need to control the fan based on humidity for now. I have it set at 42 with a 4% differential.

So far so good. Everyone has nice white roots into the water so growth has really picked up in the last 3 or so days.
Here in a week or so I am going to top them. It should not slow them down at all.
I am using an aquarium heater to keep my res warm. It stays right at 68-69.

TOPPING!!
Was not big deal, they did not even wilt. I topped them about 2 hours into the lights off cycle.
Next lights on cycle they were pushing out the internode growth, if that is the correct description.
Made sure to get a pic where yall could see the cut top.

Thought I would update. It is pretty crazy how short the plants stayed under the 4200k. Literally just grew out and not up so much.
I added a second light like I usually do and switched the bulbs to 3100k. Its been 10 days since the last picture. I am assuming I am going to get some stretching going on here soon.

I peeked in at the roots and I was suprised on how good they looked. Wish I had gotten a picture but I will eventually.
Did some trimming underneath today. Not quite a lollipop but I took some lower leaves and budsites. Only a few per plant.
I can see what I recognize as pre-buds from my photo plants forming, so I am considering myself in almost-full flower.
Within the last week they have really started some vertical growth.
Would you believe I am only running 300ppm? Calmag/ GH Three part only. RO Water. Nothing Else. My ph is super stable at the moment too.
EWC Tea of course. Probably will max out at around 500ppm this grow.

Another UK Cheese. This one is more sensitive so to speak, than the others.
It tells me if I am fucking up something before the others do. I keep a close eye on this one.
Notice the slight N tox tips. The EWC tea sure does add some N.
