5G bucket setup question.

Hello Everyone,

Is there a site (perhaps this one) where i can find a "how to" on building a 4-5G bucket setup?
i could be wrong but i have seen setups with pvc connecting all of the buckets to a reservoir.
that seems faster and better than having to put water in each bucket everyday.
any help is appreciated.

Well a single bucket with airstone or diffuser is a DWC setup, multiple buckets with pvc connects is called Recirculating-DWC. I have tried both and both produced same result, nothing more nothing less.

I use single buckets cause I am never over 10 plants at one time, and I like to keep things separate and not have a single res problem effect my entire crop, plus I like to stage plants to get a sort-of perpetual harvest. With RDWC something was always leaking, breaking and noisey as @!*&!, I like simplicity so if problems arise its a quick simple fix.

I second the single bucket DWC system. especially if your a new grower. A single bucket also lets you try a couple diff things with the plants. find a new nute you wanna try out? test it on a single plant first. Once you are really good, you may want to expand into a bigger better system.

they are really easy to build also, air pump/stone. net pot. done

HydroMo: Please consider this: once they're connected they're not only going to be more complicated but harder to work on if something goes wrong. I like the KISS system, keep it simple, and I think the individual buckets are a whole lot easier to work with. I hope that helps. HSA
