yep keep up the good work

i guess that the pictures just dont do it justice to show that there will be 10oz (dry) there impo but hey only time will tell and i will stay tuned in
on progress

your right that all parts of the plant are capable of photosynthesis and the buds enjoy the direct light but the solar panels are the best way to do so and if i didnt lst mine they would be 3.5'-4' that being said i think that you could of doubled or tripled the yield buy not cutting them so soon or not at all i trim as well but only when the plant tells me it needs to be

They look great man.
How early did you start LST?
Also, how many total bulbs are there, and of what type CFL?

Diggin the Vader and Kenobi garden guardians :)

Best of luck

id hate to say it but yeah that could be a little on the low side but you could get around 3-5oz dry when dried and cure correctly yes, i just dont see an oz a plant maybe who am i to say only they will tell you in the end judging yields just is to hard and to many variables to try to make a fully accurate guess and thats all it would be still is a guess

HAH yeah they're in the midst of battle atm, lol. I started lst after i topped them and they shot new branches out. always trying to keep them as low as possible. and yeah the pics dont do justice, and theres still a good 3-4 weeks left maybe 5 till theyre ready. but the way theyre lsted, as soon as the top fans get large they shade everything out, just leaving the top 10 buds to collect light, the main branches might have produced larger buds but i was looking to get good overall bud growth since they are so short. i think i will leave them be from here till harvest in that aspect as the largest leaves on most plants are pretty heavily sugared. Also, I only have that one box fan in there on one side, if there was dense foliage the air wouldnt get past the first 2 plants. so that was a big factor in determining how much to prune. but yes only time will tell and i hope you stick with me to see how it turns out.

absolutely themjkid22, and from the hermie i killed i am seeing how much shrinkage to expect while drying. if the amount of bud on them close to doubles in the weeks to come i believe i could hit close to a oz per plant. i was hoping for a complete lb but i expect thats way out of reach now

well keep up the good work and i guess i wouldve gotten more fans and left the leaves but hey im here for the haul

i would, and consider it often. but noise is a huge concern and the only other fan i have makes a very noticeable humm even on low setting, other side of closet wall is neighbor. trying not to give any hints as to whats going on in there lol.

yes this is my first cfl grow so i cant tell ya on what my average yield is but but i ran hydro/HID years back now for a few years and yields/plants were way bigger than they will be this round but it was a pain in the ass so i quit and running the HID (mh/hps) were way to expensive but i could get 6-8 oz per plant and ran a vertical as well that produced a min 8oz per but this was all before i was married and had kids so i had the extra $$$ to put into it

yeah i think around .3 gpw is about average for cfl grows. but after this grow i am done with soil. going to go to a hempy bucket or dwc, not sure yet. not going to go thru this gnat shyte again i tell u that much. but thats a hell of a yield. gonna up my light when i get a house, which will be soon. been thinking led tho for power and heat reasons.

^ same

Once I get a new spot with a closet it's gonna be great.

I wonder what kinda yield LED + CFL would produce.

Nice thread here. I'm growing 4 girls under 588 watts of cfl. No trimming. One was topped, that's it. It's nice to see what's possible with trimming. How much longer are you gonna wait to harvest?

uuugh i am soooo sick of this crap. more gnats......i poured off the top of the soil in each pot and put a layer of perlite. for the most infested one which i keep doing battle with i put about an inch of aquarium fine grain sand. hopefully this ends soon or i get some advice as how to rid them once and for all. bamboo they are probably 3-5 weeks from harvest. a few should be ready earlier as they are further along then the others and i dont want to crop all of them if theyre not all ready. i would like to see some pictures as well to see what your working with.....Z= ive been researching leds for some time now and there are people pulling 1gpw with them steadily, seems to be a good choice to me =).

Dude my advice is to stop cutting so much on your plants. I feel u are overdoing the trimming and lst. Those things were tiny tiny. More nutes, more veg time, less stress. Drop your lights down a little closer to. Just advice man.

ok people there are pictures of the lights on the plants. they are less than an inch above the tops at all time but i pull them up a bit because i cant take pics with them down. thanks for stopping in, and i understand the cutting is controversial, but after this grow I will decide if I will continue or not. as for right now i am really liking the way they react to pruning.
I have not done any cloning with cannabis, yet. i do have rooting hormones and I have cloned other plants in the past. Didn't really have a need to as these were unknown bagseed. My next grow will be with THC bomb seeds and cotton candy fem. I might get a 600w light offline for flowering when that comes tho

DAY 38 I believe I have successfully taken care of the problem. My solution was to put fat chick panty hose around the pots to keep the gnats from laying eggs in the drainage holes and keep them from hatching out there, and I put a layer of play sand on top. I did this last night and saw no gnats this morning. again crossing fingers so hard they're breaking, lol. I noticed on one or two plants, mostly just one, the steam from the boiling water treatment rose up and lingered a bit too long I'm guessing because some leaves and tops are discolored and wilted pretty badly. I tell you this grow has gone from smooth and perfect to a complete nightmare since I started this thread. I hope I havn't fuckered them up too much but I digress, should finish out late but decent.I also took your advice themjkidd and added another fan, hopefully the sound isn't super noticeable. On to the pictures..took one of each plant individually this time, enjoy and as always gimme some feedback:hump:P3040032.jpgP3040037.jpgP3040038.jpgP3040042.jpgP3040039.jpgP3040040.jpgP3040041.jpgP3040043.jpgP3040046.jpgP3040047.jpgP3040036.jpgP3040035.jpgP3040029.jpg
