55" height grow room....best options for conserving overall height?

55" height grow room, it was a taller grow room, but well without going into a long story, due to height limitations im only able to use a combination of the vertical poles, best combo I got is 55". the room is 4'x8'. gorilla grow tent

what I already know: lowriders, wide short pots, topping early.

what I want to know: what lights would be effective/able to be close to plant (leds?), and what maximum plant height I could realistically achieve.

looking for any input on how this could be successful, or if its not worth doing at all ONLY FOR ME TO SMOKE NOT TRYIN TO SELL don't need lbs

I have a friend who welds so I might can have him weld them 6-12" longer, paint me a picture of best way to do this, I love you.

lowryders are ruderalis hybrids and aren't what I would grow for personal use because they are lower in THC.

I'd look into using low stress training techniques instead of using a lowryder strain.

LED light all the way…but a good one like Area 51.

Keep your lights close in veg. LST and/or Top the plants. having more tops will slow the vertical growth. you can always remove a couple branches after the stretch into flowering. Tying down branches helps to bush out the plant.

get w/e strain you want. i grow Kali mist in a closet with similar height restrictions and it does great. 600W HPS & 2 4bulb T5's i let my tops almost touch the glass 1-2" away at most. however I also run a 400 cfm fan for ~90cf (veg and flower) of total space and draw from a basement that is a constant 68*. i used topping and timing to control height in these pictures. The strains here are are Sugar Black Rose and some home breeds i've been working on.

Instead on listening to people who are not there just get them as close as possible while stile covering each plant and not burning the tips... it's that easy.

hey canna how do you like that kali mist and which breeder is it?
grew out a 14 week Dr . grinspoon loved it, how long does the mist take?

serious seeds. and it takes forever. each run is a little different but ive been going 10-12 on my more indica dom (well i say indica dom but i swear it would still hit 12' if i let it!) and 11-14 on my sativa dom. i can almost do 2 runs of my Medjuana while it finishes.

What's your yeild like and how tall of a plant? Does it take up a lot of area or just grows up? I want another sativa even though it's not pure like grinspoon i hear it's amazing.

getting ~2 oz off of a 30" tall plant topped/lsted/supper cropped w/e i gotta do to keep the canopy even. ive found if i dont top at all it grows mostly vertical but then i need to put it into veg as soon as it has root. ~300% stretch like that. i top it a couple times and lst/mainline it and grows as bushy as i wanna let it get and only ~200% stretch.

Yea i will definitely be popping a few seeds taking the best one and cloning and self in it so i have those perfect genetics forever. I love buying 3-5 seeds of a strain growing them all out taking a few clones of each and whatever one has the best traits i self and i have 1000 seeds and all female of that strain.

most of my buddies look what they want to grow then come to me to see if i have those seeds or clones yet.

would love to get my hands on some true "clone onlys" man i would pay 100 bucks for someone to overnight me one.

If you have height limitations there is only one way to go, IMO. You need to SCROG... In fact, IMO SCROG is the only way to go. In my grow below I harvested almost two pounds off of three plants (8 wk veg). It was my first scrog....

Anyway, if you're going from clones you can keep en even lower profile than I did...

many people will tote scrog as the only way to go, however you can do the same thing without having to deal with a screen. Its more training but then you don't have to deal with an annoying screen getting in your way. especially at harvest. maybe its because all of my other grows have been much bigger than my current, but dealing with screens costs enough time in setup and take down that i feel it isn't worth. Plus you're only getting extra bud per plant because of the extra veg time. (i.e other factors aside yield is determined by genetics and biomass) best piece of advice i've seen was posted on this site. yield is determined by genetics. it doesn't matter how fancy you get you wont get the plant to yield more than its genetics dictate. keep your plant healthy, love it and give it enough light and it will reach max potential.
