the majority of the trichs are cloudy, only a handful of amber trichs and they were way up deep in the nug. let me know what you guys think.

i spent like 30 min trying to get a decent shot of the trichs with my loupe and camera, and thats the best i could do.

judging by your white hairs (which looks like they could be coming from minor foxtails, maybe recent growth?) you are looking at maybe another 1, you could stretch it 2 for that heavier amber look and stone. Check your trichs, watch those hairs, and pay attention to swelling. the one shot shows you have at least mostly cloudy now, but is that the same case all over the plant? out of all the trichs, what % would you say are clear/cloudy/amber?

regardless, id stamp it with 10-14 days, 7 if your out of smoke and are willing/needy enough to chop slightly early.

Said it better than I could have.

foxtails? i guess you mean the nugs growing on the nugs :) ? that is all recent growth in the last week or so, but as for the trichs id say the entire plant is about
22%clear-75%cloudy-3%amber

also this plant is the only one that i have noticed to start showing seed pods..... i have only found 3 and only on 1 stalk. what do you think

the other 3 plants have still a couple weeks left. and im afraid that if its hermied it may pollinate the others. several people said not to worry and finish it out, but im just trying to get as many opinions as possible.

is the lime green thing in the middle of that shot the hermie flower? if so, its up to you. how many weeks on those other ones? are all the pics in the OP just the one that you think is nearing ready? if the other ones have longer to go than this one (which would imply another 3 weeks or so for them) then i would take her down, lots of seeds can form in 3 weeks. when you start getting under 3 weeks til cut, a herm wont matter as much. gunna be a personal call on your part bud, sorry =/

your percentages of trich ratio is saying your entering your window. at this point once it hits about 5-0% clear, you are right around peak thc if i understand it right. from there its all about your cloudy to amber ratio to fine tune your high. want it slightly uppier? lean closer to more cloudy than amber, more of a down high is vis-a-vis.

-edit- and ya, i was referring to the little towers of growth ya got, they are commonly called foxtails, but usually only when they get a bit longer than that. some say its a sign of heat issues, but i think its also a gene. my first bagseed grew big foxtails, and since it was mid summer heat made sense. These BlackJacks i have going now have mini-tails all over, but they havnt had a day over 85 to date, which makes me think something else is at play.

yes all those pics are of the same plant in question. the other plants still have a good amount of white pistils. is it possible that this plant will affect the other plants and cause them to spit out seeds too? should i cut off just the one stalk?

iam not sure how much cutting off the stalk will help, it will probably cause the girl to stress and just spit out more flowers. i would say you have 3 options:

1. Leave them in there, and just hope that it doesnt really get out of control. It very well may not, and you could come out fine. Or, it could seed up every plant you have. Dice roll.
2. Chop that one down now. Get some early smoke, it still has potency at this point, will prevent seeds in the other girls, and is one less plant you need to harvest later.
3. Every day when the lights flip on, go in, and take a pair of tweezers to her, plucking out the nanas. This is very tedious and not 100% at preventing pollination, though it does help.

This late in the game i would go with 2 or 3. Frankly, since i personally only do 3 plants a cycle, would go with 2. (this advice is based on the plants being for personal use) It gives you some smoke for a while. That said, you will find yourself far less likely to take samples from plants, not give them the dry or cure they deserve, or find yourself handling them more than you should, wishing you could smoke it (iam guilty of all of these things). Just a thought, im sure others have to have an opinion, and i had to add a disclaimer to my sig for this very reason! lol GL bud

oh yea, just cut the nug off the stalks today and put them all in a jar. 27.2 grams after 3 days hanging. stems had a nice crack sound when bent in half but did not fully come apart. nugs are nice and fat. took the smallest of the nug and smoked it and absolutely no hay taste, just pure goodness..... when i get back in a little bit ill have new pics in my sig.

If those little sacks looks like miniature bananas I can tell you what they are. I read up on this topic.

If you have a female that is basically just about ripened or is pretty much ripened and ready to be taken down, if it is sensimilla (A female plant without seeds and hasn't been fertilized), she will start to grow these little banana like flowers. The job of these flowers is a last resort pollen sack. It wouldn't be called a hermie, this trait comes with every single marijuana plant. These banana's hold the prized cultivator and geneticist's pollen, it is feminized pollen. If you take those banana peels and save them and extract the pollen from them, put it aside, and when you have a plant that you prize and absolutely love and want to work with for future genetics and you want to keep it, you take one of those bananas and the pollen and sprinkle the pollen on the bud. What you will get is NATURALLY FEMINIZED SEEDS!!! These are a true prize for any experience cultivator and geneticist because you can not only carry the genetics on by cross pollinating females, but you can pollinate and be GUARANTEED feminized seeds!!! Everybody I know dies for those bananas to show early, because we all pride ourselves in creating our own genetics. You simply have to pick them off the flowers daily to ensure they don't ruin your current crop, and the day or two before you plan on harvesting, let a couple grow out so you can extract the pollen from them. Save that pollen for when you have another plant you love and want the genetics to be crossed with, and boom, you have your own feminized seed creation! Keep in mind, you can polinate one little bud on the bottom of a female plant and it will not ruin the entire female, just the buds that the pollen affected. I do this on every single crop so I always have a consistent grow that originates from seeds. It doesn't take any longer to grow from seed. If you think about it, when you grow from clones it will take two weeks for the clones to root. If you grow from seed, it will take two weeks for your seed to develop into a plant that is the similar size. The difference is that clones are a little genetically weaker than a seeded plant. It all depends what you prefer and what you are after. If you are purely commercial, clones are ideal to keep consistency and promise of ONE particular desirable plant. If you are commercial however like to keep your crop strong and developing, then using this feminized pollen sack method is ideal. If you are geneticist, this is also very ideal. Either or, banana pollen sacks on female plants at the end of flowering do not indicate hermie, they indicate a beyond ready to harvest female that is creating the bananas for fear that it will die and the plant will become extinct. It creates these pollen sacks to ensure that the plant will carry on for future generations.

Look it up, do some reading. Try to find some information on cannabis female flower pollen sacks or cannabis female flower "bananas" I don't know how much information is out there on the net, but I know it is in books. If anybody is truly curious, simply ask, I will pull out a book and try to answer what I can later, or even PM me, however for now, this is the best I can remember or do.

Hope this helps and is pretty useful stuff for some of you!

I have also read about this. This is infact a genetic trait. It is not because of heat stress but because of genetic related stress signatures. I forget exactly what it is. I saw a write up about it and a journal of which the geneticists were trying to single out this quality. Here are some pictures, enjoy =D =]:
