500$ worth of seeds at the cost of a few seeded buds? Yes please.

I'm just stoked as this was the first time I ever took it upon myself to produce seeds. I now have over 75 totally healthy and viable looking Strawberry Blue seeds and it only took pollinating a few small buds to do it. I'll get some more off my second plant though not as many but at a seedbank average value of 20$ for 3 seeds, that leaves me sitting on over 500$ worth of feminized seeds for my enjoyment.

I'll be popping a few outdoors this season although it's a little late but next spring I'll do around 20 in various places. Can't wait for a free outdoor grow with guaranteed genetics. :bigjoint:

Just wondering why more people aren't doing this? Is it just all the misinformation on breeding hermies that scares people away?

Unless you polinated from over mature females why do you think they are feminized? I grow seed's once a year and I get really excited too!Wishing you the biggest of harvest's my brother! jack

People may not do this because they may not have the room for a separate closer room for the pollination. However I'm going to try this with white widow and hope it works

I knowingly though not willingly subjected my plant to some near freezing temps for a few nights in a row and after a few days I say the first signs of pollen producing, stress induced, male flowers. Although the offspring of this situation may exhibit a slightly higher chance of turning hermie under cold weather conditions, it's highly likely to actually be a characteristic carried over after only one stress induced breeding.

So anyways.....stress induced hermies doesn't mean hermie offspring. :D

That's an awfully wide assumption.... only time can tell.

Did you do hour upon hour of looking into this yourself? Did you research the subject personally to filter through all the false information out there? Did you even watch the video?

this video is not very accurate ... a hermie plant will not produce 95% fem seeds nor will it give you 50/50 m/f s .... i dunno what this guy is getting at .. i think hes on acid

Good info my brother! I'm not sure I agree but I don't have the credential's to argue I'm basing my "assumption's" on past growing and seed production that I have done and the only time I received 80+% female offspring was with over ripe that produced a few male flower's I collected and used on the next grow to produce th 80+% female seed's! Allway's willing to learn (not dead yet 62yo) Thnks! jack +rep

Well a hermie plant would make female seeds because there was no male there to make male seeds...you have a female plant making female pollen, so when you pollinate another female plant you end up with female seeds. You can also buy the stuff to make your own fem seeds by turning your female plants male...I have used Silver Thiosulfate Solution with great results...the seeds grow and are all female, with no sign of hermie...

If you feel educated after watching a video on youtube then your intelligence is of a questionable level.

And by false information I'm sure you're referring to any reports of stress inducing a female to produce pollen can result in unstable herm plants. Maybe if I slap the shit out of you with an ice pack you'll grow a vagina and then you can go fuck yourself and have little herm babies of your own.

Why all the hostility?

Very few things on rollitup especially in Toke n' Talk are within the realm of reason. What does rep have to do with anything? I don't understand how it works and it doesn't really matter to me. I got the rep because of the things I have said, things just like that post. I help where I feel it is warranted, this isn't one of those occassions. I've been chosen for many things, including choosing myself to post in a public forum such as this. I never asked for your respect or anything from you, I don't need it. Especially if it comes with a horrible Boston accent fuck that

i'll have you know that i sound wicked fuckin' smaht when i talk.

about the hermies...as someone who has grown many many "accidents" over the years, my theory is that the quality of the mother plant has a lot to do with how well the offspring will turn out. my pineapple chunk that i've been growing for 2 years seeds herself with at least 4 or 5 seeds each time i grow her, and not one of these seeds has ever went herm on me. all female. the same with my mr. nice master kush x afghan haze. my unknown bagseed, not so much. very hit or miss.
