5’ x 30” area pot sizing..

High everyone.. I know this question is probably beaten to death around here but I’m reading and reading and still can’t decide what route I want to go..

I have a variety of strains that I’d like to be able to have a good bit of each after harvesting to use until next fall/winter..
There are 6 strains... I know having a variety of strains might be tougher to manage the canopy but I think I’ll be ok with training. I have a 5’ x 30” tent, the original plan was to do 8 - 5 gal square pots, fits perfectly, gives plenty of root space and with about 5-6 week veg I’m thinking would fill the canopy nicely. Only thing is doesn’t give me much variety at the end of the grow… so now I’m kicking around the idea (in order to have more from each strain) was to use 12 - 2 gal squares so I can at least have 2 of each strain, but my concern is that’s not big enough to finish up with..

What do you guys think, or would you do in the situation?

Thanks!

3 plants tops in that space if so imo
why do you think that… just for management reasons? I’ve done more in a smaller space just fine. I water with a wand and the plants stay in place
My clone room is about the same 5’ x 30”

nice! Unfortunately, I don’t have space like that.. I’ll usually do 1 and done just to stock up and last til next year so only reason I may have to clone would be to keep a pheno alive..
