5 Pound Setup?

16 plants in 3 gallon pots of coco per 4x8 table, 2 tables, 4 de lights, 24k btu mini split and I was pulling anywhere from 8-10lbs. Could have pulled more if my room wasn't so small I barely fit the tables in there and the de lights could have covered a bit more space. Also had no C02 in that room.

I hope so. I built two 5’x5’ tables and have the plants trained mostly under the 4’x4’ light footprint with my scrog. Everything has been good so far but I’m only halfway thru flowering. A lot can go wrong from now to then but I’m staying vigilant and hoping for the best.
I think you would get more weight overall by having two 4.5x4.5ft footprints rather than 4x4.
Would make it easier to hit the higher numbers since your lights can light that space up.

My goal is 5lbs off of two 720w LEDs. Probably won’t hit it but this all just started out as something to keep me busy during quarantine before spiraling out of control. I’ve got 30 something plants and at least $5,000 invested in the build. I tend to get carried away when I get into a new hobby View attachment 4664090View attachment 4664091
Is that a measuring tape on the wall between the sets of plants? Fantastic if it is. Setup looks sweet, well done.

Also, does anyone think the OP hit his 5 lb mark with no experience? He disappeared in 2013, wish I knew now lol.

The manufacturer said the flowering footprint of their 600w light was 4x4. I upgraded mine to 720w so I’m hoping my actual flowering footprint is closer to 4.5x4.5 with the wattage bump. The tables and trellis frame are 5x5 and as you can see they’re pretty much filled. Dunno what will happen with the stuff on the edge but I’ve got most of the colas outside of that tied down and directed under the light as much as possible. Trying any trick I can to get max yield.

Hygro hybrid youtube channel, follow his instructions on his extremely long videos. For all the new people coming to this thread thats the way to go but to sum up the thread and his videos here is what I'll give you.

For x number of pounds buy x of the following:

1)Pick a medium(ex. Paint bucket Dwc)
2)Pick some nutrients(ex.botanicare PBP)
3)Pick a light (ex.1000 w $150 kit)
4) pick a grow tent (ex.$120 5by5)
5)Pick out some good seeds(ex.exotic genetics)
6)buy a $80 R/O filter and some ph up down
7)almost forgot about mammouth P and Wallace magic wonder microryza but great white is also good and what I use rn.
8) follow instructions on nutrients and ph to 6.3
9) Flower for 4 weeks longer then the grower says.

Im high and typed this so dont hate me

I have the ability to hit 10-14 pounds a harvest but I too have $20000 into my set up. If you have enough MONEY, space, electricity available, TIME and willing to go OCD researching, it’s not that difficult. It’s literally a part time job and takes A SHIT LOAD of time training, feeding and caring for your girls. WAY more time and energy then you’d ever imagine. For me, 80 gallon feeds, mixing 9 products, and 200 gallon flushes are very time consuming. Not to mention time it takes to Schwazze. It took me about 24-26 hours to all of my girls and I have to do it twice a flower.

Yeah, tell @Renfro that. Dude pulls 5 off one plant.

Thats less than .5 gram per watt. Most people would consider that a huge failure. 40 plants @ 5 gallons each is 200 gallons of soil LMAO. 100 gallons of soil is more than enough for yields like that even for a new amateur.
I was going to say the same thing about Renfro but you beat me to it. However, he’s also running over 20000 watts. I did the math, after reading his journal and he’s doing a touch less then 1.1g/watt, which isn’t very good by today’s LED stardards, when looking at it in those terms. I’m not knocking him because he’s obviously the freakin man, but that’s A LOT of power to produce those yields. That has to be factored in, but definitely massively impressive. He inspired me to eventually put in side lighting and make the sides footprints too. I’m waiting to get more power from the PUD cause my current service is maxed out. Then will probably use the Chinese knock off’s from Alibaba, for sides, but buy a few extra as back ups. Would need to triple my split AC size too.

g/w isnt all exactly an accurate measurement..... he is probably not including fluffy bottom shit in that final weigh in. Yeah he is running crazy watts but he also has a lot of 5 pound plants. 2,000w should get a single plant to 5 pounds pretty easily.

Big plants is definitely the way to go.
2-3oz per plant and you're going to kill yourself before you get close to 5lbs.

If I had 8 of these View attachment 4665131 in my 4x8 instead of the one + 7 other strains View attachment 4665132, the tent would have produced 144 ounces off 2kW hps.
And I had (still don't) no clue what I was doing.

Strain+big plant=weight.
I donno, w the right clones and lights you can pull 4ounces per sq ft x about 3ft tall. Thats 4lbs per 4x4ft.

This guy is not spot on.

You can use whatever medium you want, you don’t need 5000w of lighting, and you don’t need that many plants. Here’s a real answer

you need about 6x12 ( 5- 5.5 x 5-5.5 feet for the footprint) and some space to move. Next. You can use whateveryou want, coco , soil, a mix of various things, u wanna so needless shit you can have Automated system.
What I do, do pull 8-10 pounds with 4000w of flowering is

I use 4x1000w double ended fixture, I put anywhere from 16-42 plants per light , I use JUST perlite as my medium, gh nutrients, andmy room like this, right now.
You don’t need anything crazy , I use 4 300 watt LEDs and one small 150 watter and I have 18 plants with 8 of them 80 day veg and the other 8 45 day vegg

With of course the works , filter and ac unit / dehumidifier with a 50 gallon water tank hooked up to a reverse osmosis water filter system and I mix my nutes in this 14 gallon smaller one , it’s the perfect setup for my goals during quarantine lol 3-4 pounds easy , with a few plants with 90 day veg , All my plants are currently on week 3 of flower amd just defoliated today ..... 7 weeks left to get these buds nice and juicy !!

Give me a 10 x 10 area. Four 1k hps lights. Some Promix and 36 five gallon pots. I'll give you 6 plus pounds in 14 weeks maximum.

If I can start from rooted clone take 2 weeks off the 14 :blsmoke:

Only 6# out of 10 1k lights? Setting the bar real low arent we?
I think he said 6 lbs off 4K hps, which is better than most can get. 1.5 per 1k HPS is solid. You really gotta have great strain and zero issues to get more. I tell newbies 1 per 1k and your doing going ok. Just don’t buy into the nutrient snake oil hustle.
Switching to AN and dropping loads of cash ain’t gonna get you to 2 lbs per 1k. Next is to confirm the strain will yield big and then look at the environment and your pruning methods. The latter plays a much bigger role than many realize.

Thats not even a gram per watt. Everyone with half a brain should be able to pull a gram per watt.

Gram per HPS watt? Not including larf? That’s over 2lbs of solid top grade nugs per 1k. Yeah not many can do that, especially if scaled up. Maybe 1 light on an ebb and flow with a couple dozen or more plants.
2 lbs per 1k hps makes you a boss. Yeah I can and have but not every run. Guess me and the many growers I know suck.

Pizza, don't even reply to this asshole.

1) He can't read. He's a fucking dumbass
2) Even when he knows he's wrong he's still a dumbass
3) Put him on ignore like I did. I mistakenly took it off a few days ago but he's back on it now :blsmoke:

Why do you need so much space, besides using HPS light? I can quite easily get more then that with 1/4 less space!
