I go to work for a few hours and look what happens. All this talk about hot chicks is going to work me up..... The wife might be in for it if you keep that up.

I put the SD in soil and put the little ones out for some sunshine this afternoon. I will try ot get some pic's up later on when the lights come back on. Does anyone have experience with trying to root a seedling that could be compared to mine? I'm just wondering the chances of actually getting roots from this thing. It still looks healthy so the transportation of nutes is possible but will it be possible to get it to form roots or will it just suck water til it gets to big to sustain it's self?
 
pass dude but if its got soil light n water id put a bar on it pullin through man!

I put the seedlings outside for some sunshine while I tried to open the
pool. I probably shouldn't have gotten baked before I started because instead of adding alkalide I was adding Shock... Douh!!!

There was so much chlorine it turned the green water white. Hopefully it will disapate in a few days and we can swim!!!!

SD#4 went in the soil yesterday and I've decided not to check on the DQ's for 2 days because I'm starting to check on them every 6 hours. I'm driving myself mad. Poor little SD#3 is so small compared to the others. I will be transplanting them into their new pots early next week. I want to get some more soil and some bat guano.

Normally I only grow in the winter because of how busy I am in the summer months at work. The economy is hurting everyone this year plus my wife said she would help me. I'm bringing in the big guns for this one. Hopefully I can find a keeper outa 7 strains :blsmoke:

I like your grow but I think you need more room so those ladies can streatch out a little. I would also look into putting a light or two under the canopy to get light to your lower buds. The top is so thick you can't be getting any light through it....

yeah i agree with ya i might get sum cfl to put under the canopy but as for room ive got no more room id love sum more room plus my misses is just about lettin me do this as it is lol:joint:

lol my missus just about lets me do it too, i generally bribe her with a pair of kurt geigers every so often to keep things sweet! i might start a thread 'what do youy bribe your better half with?'

Vortex #3 went in the soil tonight. DQ #4 (not the one that flew across the room) has cracked, I will wait to put it in the ground after it has a little more root showing. The DQ that I think I found hasn't cracked yet. I'm still waiting on Vortex #4 to crack. And last but not least the SD #4 has made it to the surface and should poke through by tomorrow.

I looked at the seedlings closely and not only are they starting on their 5th node already, they are showing signs of growth at the nodes. I will be topping on the 6th node. I want these to become bushy and give lots of clone sights for the ones that are keepers.

i topped my seeds last batch at the 3rd node and ended up with 4 very strong branches... they each grew like individual plants... much healthier and thicker than normal.... not sure what it would be... but looking back into the plants structure.. you can see how the first 2 to or 3 sets of branches end up being very strong normally. (even though those are the ones you normally take and make clones out of)... do i make sense?

I did that on my first grow. I also got 4 branches that acted like their own plant. I want the plant to bush out and produce as many side branches as possible so I will give them more nodes to grow from. I don't want to top to early and reduce the number of clone sights. I will be shooting for 4 clones on their first cuttings from each plant so I want to leave enough branches to grow til the next cut. It will take several weeks before the clones have a root system that will be able to be placed in soil. During this time the plants will continue to grow and make more clone sights. It would be nice to think that I will keep all these strains going but I don't have the room or the need for this. I will be looking for a smoke that I can have during the day and won't stone me to the point I can't or don't want to work. I feel the C-99 crosses will give me this. I also want a night time smoke that i can get comatos with at night before going to bed. I have been going through what I grew out last time fairly quickly due to the amount i have to smoke to maintain the high. I have a high tolerence and get used to the effects so it takes more to get the same effect. I think this is due to the fact that even though the plants I've been growing are covered in crystals the THC concentration in those crystals isn't as high as it could be. I can smoke 5-6 bongs and see tracers but I don't want to smoke that much. I'd rather do a few one hits every hour or so. Recently I have been thinking about cooking with it. I think I could reduce my fear factor by hauling cookies rather than a bag of pot. In my state you can get a stiffer penelty for parifinalia (sp?) than you can for the pot. Recently it has been reduced to a city ordinance violation rather than a crime to get caught with less than an ounce but you can be charged for carrying a hitter and do jail time, fucked up.....

I make butter with the clippings and small buds sometimes.... that shit is bad ass... talk about a body high... But i wouldnt take those to work with me though.. I have and it is too much....

As far as the topping and all... its all in your rotation. You could do like me and have a vegging cabinet.... and then when you take the clones wouldnt really matter. I understand your rational on the clones and clone sites.... im just pointing out man that those strong as branches you get vs the skinny ones you end up doing it too late... There is something about those first 2 node sites man.

SD #4 is out of the ground. I'm still waiting for the DQ's to grow a longer tap root before they go in the soil. I have been giving the seedlings 8-10 drops of Clonex seedling food in with their 8oz of water every 3rd day. They are back in the sun today. The Vortex in a glass is growing roots!!! I thought for sure it would die before it could form roots but I looked today and there they were! It may get to go back in soil in a week or two.

I spent several hours last night pulling out the flower room and trimming off the lower branches and bud sights. These plants are so big they won't allow any light below the top of the plant so why waste the energy growing buds that won't amount to shit. I cleaned up all the dead leaves andpounded the soil in the pots to break it up and let air get to the roots. The sativas sorta look like Mr West's AI. But mine are only in their 3rd week and his looked like that 8-10 weeks (sorry bro, I still see that pic of yours and laugh). The crystals are starting to pack on one of the pheno's like crazy.
