The ability to make recess appointments was for the president to get people in positions in a hurry in an emergency. It was not created so the president could jam someone into office against congress's wishes. Especially because neither the current congress, nor the future congress would approve the appointment.
So yeah, it is kind of horrific for a president to consider it.

I dont think the government should have the right to decide what happens between a woman and her doctor.

Hey we agree on something that is interesting. I always thought most republicans were staunch in their positions on taking away a woman's right to choose. I think Trump openly feels that way. Or he just lied about feeling that way to get elected.

I dont agree with Trump's position on stop and frisk or a number of other policies. I dont think he is going to take away abortion from women, that isnt what he ever said nor how he feels about it.

I distinctly remember an interview where he talked about punishing women for getting abortions. Seemed clear to me.
Best thing about Trump is his ideas on things appear so mailable. It just depends who the last person he talked to is regarding what he says on an issue. The down side of that is he regularly talks to Putin.
