5 males

I've heard that male plants you can keep and do hash, cakes, brownies, butter n stuff, but how long do you keep em flowering before they bust a nut all over the rest of the girlz?

id get them out straight away. id rather save my females than make hash

yea id save one male and get the pollen from it and save it and trash the rest and then breed it with a different strain when u get the chance. hash and anything else from male plants is garb. minimal thc, it makes a harsh and horrible tasting smoke that doesnt get you high.

thanks for the feedback, cause out the 12, 5 happened to be males. Is this a normal ratio? I'm guessing it is, 50-50 chance. I'll post pics later. they are goin on their 2nd week 12/12. got some big bud, cali, and ww, and some mix strain

that is quite good if u only got 5 males. u got 7 females which is great! id be happy with that

I would only keep the males if your planning on getting the seeds, but then you would have to sacrifice a female which means less bud

no he wouldnt have to sacrifice a female since we're talking about males and females of the same strain. what you'd want to do is try to find a friend or someone who can get you some clones or start some new seeds and like i said, save the pollen from your male and when the times right and u have a female thats ready to breed...you can go ahead and do it.

when breeding pot always try to get 2 very different strains. so for example, a heavy indica like hindu kush would be great with a sativa like durban poison.

You can also pollinate just one branch/bud of a female. the whole plants doesn't need to be seeded.
and you can still smoke the seedy bud. (or give it away after taking seeds)
