i did the five gallon bucket thing forawhile. got like a quater pound at most. i was a nub at the time.i could of got more if i didnt let them grow 6 to 7 feet. now id keep them about a foot tall and toped them. then you dont have to worry about the buckets tipping over. and getting root bound. the main prob i had when i got to flowering a 6 to 7 foot plant no room left to grow bud.... thats in soil also hydro anther story.

Depends on the strain, but 5 gallons will limit the size/yield outdoors. I'd top/FIM it to keep it from getting too tall. If you can get it in a 10 gallon bucket, I'd do it

i make my own out of weed barrier. i measur a piece 4x4.and stapel it like a sack. they dry out fast. the bigger the better. if there in side buckets are great.

I grew some Og kush plants outside a few years back in 5 gallon buckets. The tallest one grew 8 feet tall (untopped). I harvested a half pound per plant, and keep in mind that og kush is notorious for low yields. I fed them daily with GH nutes that aren't even on the market anymore. I don't know what strain you're growing but most indicas will yield quite a bit more than the og does. Hopefully your doing some type of indica dominant strain because sativas shoot up like crazy. I definitley suggest you top your plants. Respect!
