ok so i have plants in 5 gal grow bags.. and as i was watering today.. i went to pick up the bag to see how heavy it was.. and boy was this thing heavy.. and it felt like it was a big dense bag of roots.the plants are 40-50 inch tall without grow bag..... just wondering if i should maybe transplant to 7 gal grow bags 3 weeks into flowering or not even worth it?

if you transfer them now you risk harm/stressing out your plant, this could impact your yield, even potentially hermi your plants. I would wait till next time. Sounds like you are growing some monsters though. Congrats.

Its actually very easy to transplant from bag to bag, just pull the bag off like a sock and set the plant in the larger bag.
I do this with smartpots all the time with zero stress.

o i just usually take a razor slice the bottom off and let it fall into the other bag and then slice the bag to get it off.. but i was just wondering if it would matter or not to the plants? because HONESTLY MY STRETCH FROM 24/0 TO 12/12 WAS ONLY LIKE A FOOT AND HALF AND THE PLANTS WERE 3 FEET TALL.. I MEAN THERE HUGE BUSHES AND IM HAPPY THEY DIDNT GET 9 FEET CAUSE I DIDNT HAVE THE SPACE.. BUT IM GUESSING THEY DIDNT STRETCH SO MUCH DURING FLOWERING SO FAR CAUSE I PUT A HPS BULB IN 1 SOCKET FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE . AND THEN A WEEK BEFORE 12 12 I PUT BOTH HPS BULBS IN SO THEY GOT THE STRETCH OUT THE WAY BEFORE LOL I THINK IT SEEMS THAT WAY.. THERE MONSTERS BUT I THINK NEXT TIME ILL DO LIKE 300PLANTS IN THE SAME SPOT AS A SOG.. AND GET THE SAME OR MORE

as far as a perpetual, you are better off doing more plants in a sog/scrogg setup....

however i think given the hps and going for total yield without having mothers and clones would be a decent veg time and flowering like you have been..

just my 2 cents and i could be dead wrong
