5 Days of Darkness With No Water?

Hi everybody, for the last 3 1/2 weeks ive been growing some auto sweet Afghani delicious by sweet seeds, everything has been going fine until i learned i would have to make an unexpected trip out of state. So my question is,will my plant be fine/survive in complete darkness for 5 days without water?

(Btw none of my friends want to take care of my plant because they are scared of getting caught.)

Unfortunately i dont, The way its setup is a power strip with light sockets, i have to manually turn the lights off.

If you need to go on vacation it is worth a try if you can't run a timer ro have someone else look after them for you. Experience and learning will only make you a better grower. Good luck.

Just leave lights on 24/0 and put a saucer under the plant and give it a good watering so it has reserves in the saucer. Better than leaving it in complete darkness.

#1 Get a timer, how do expect to remember to turn the light on and off every day for 4 months. If you forget to turn the light off in flower thats real bad...screws em up stresses em. come on were all stoners we 4 get, we take naps, we go to shows etc.

How big of a pot are they in...if its too small larger pots can go longer without being watered.

I was thinking about doing something like that,i have it in a 1 gallon container, so would like 2 gallons be a good amount to water with before i go?
Yes 1-2 gallons should be good. I pick my pots up when I water them to make them drain faster, I read about something called the make it rain technique and that's how i water every time now.

Can't you just leave lights on 24 hours since its an auto?
Yea you can just do 24/0 for autos, But someone told me if you go 18/6 for veg and 12/12 for flowering it would give you better quality and higher yield, And plus i don't want to leave my lights unattended for five days, thats just asking for a fire lol

The reason i stated that was because whenever i put my plants outdoor from indoor and they go from like 18-24 hours light, let try to bud every time. I acclimate them now

Then your best option is to purchase a cheap cfl light or a couple cfls . They are very safe and you don't need to worry about fires. If you do leave them in darlkness for that long it will indeed stress the plant a lot and might turn it hermie. Maybe a window you could put in near or hide it in the yard?

You sure?, Because I've been using 3 cfls in my grow box and it can get pretty hot and im living in Texas so the temperature has been like 92+ for past couple of days with no end in sight, so it just doesn't sit well with me leaving the lights on.Well It looks like ill just have to take my chances on this one and ill update you guys on how it goes

Why not just buy a timer? You can get one for about $10. I don't understand why the light is an issue here when a cheap timer will solve that problem.
