I am 5 days in and have have found a problem.

I started 5 seeds from a bag. One did not germ.

I placed two in the AG in the front left and back right position.

I added 1 150w and 2 100w CFLS (soft white not daylight...changing that tomorrow)

Using Fox farm trio. I added the 2 teaspoons of grow big and one teaspoon of the fox one into the water.

The two in the AG look weak:cry:

The two in soil look strong:hug:

My question is can I move the two from the soil, rinse it(how should I do that) and add it to the AG? Is that bad?

I had them on 24 light starting Sunday and switched to 20/4 today? Should I stay at 20/4 or go 18 like Fox Farm suggests?

My PH is between 5-6. My test kit is wide range so itis not precise.

The left picture in the stronger one in the AG.

The second one is in the AG and is looking a little droopy and brown.

I start my seedlings off at 1/4 tsp (total) per gallon of distilled water. You've got a shit load of nutrients there.. Way too much at this stage.. Additionally, separate those two in soil into their own containers.

OK,

I am changing the water and adding the new nutrients tomorrow. The fox farm sheet has me doing 2 teaspoon of grow big and 1 tablespoon of big bloom.

Should I cut them in half?

Fox farm has reccoemnded 18 hour light but I am doin 20/4 during the first two weeks. Tomorrow is day 7.

Can I transfer the two from the soil to the AG? They look better than the two in the AG (in my opinion, which at this point is not worth much!)

I would not bother adding any nutrients yet. 100% Dump the Nute'd water that you have in there now. Fill it 3/4 with distilled water (NO NUTES). Once filled 3/4; take another fresh gallon of water and add 1/4 tsp of your nutes to the NEW Fresh gallon. Mix that and use it to top of the 3/4 filed aeroGarden res to full. Continue to top off the res until you've used up that new gallon. That should take 1 week or so.... after that week has passed, increase the volume of nute's by 1/4 until you reach your full strength later on.

Hope that helped! i just woke up......

That was very helpful! It is a little confusing pulling the great info from here and the Fox farm info.

What do you think about transferring the soil sprouts to the AG and pulling out the 2 smallest ones in a week or so?

Is that a bad idea? SHould I rinse the roots? I got the AG "plant anything kit". (They should just call iot the MJ planter's kit! ha) so I have extra brown things to put them in the AG.
