At that price it might be worth a try, but I would be very surprised if they are actually samsung 301H leds. I'm very leary of Alibaba, and if there's a problem with the unit, warranty (if any) could be a nightmare. Why would a Chinese company use Korean LEDs? Samsung does farm out some of their lower quality products to China, so it could be real, but by the same token, samsung is getting out of the LED manufacturing business because China is dumping LED's on the market. Your call!

Yeah, thats the question, if they are real Samsung diodes. No way to tell for sure as far as i know...?

I googled them real quick. "Abest Lighting Company" is a legit company that makes LED light products, evidently founded in 2012. Their quality though I'm still hunting for some review or feedback :-? . Granted I bought some Geciliaoran G1000 100watt lights which say LM301H diodes; basically look like SF1000 knockoffs, but they've worked so far! and were $70 instead of Spider Farm's @$110. They're no longer for sale and I can't find them on the web  lol, EDIT: I lied here they are, still available wherever SAR is the currency.

If they function as stated, that's a damn good buy!!! makes me want to get 2 hahaha.

In the same price range, you could get a Viparspectra XS 1500Pro -which is a well-reviewed light that has great specs. They are on sale on Amazon right now for ~$90.

EDIT: And just to add.....It wouldn't matter if the diodes are Samsung or not if the driver, switches and the rest of it are inferior.

Thanks! I dont think im gonna risk it. Ive bought 3 lights from Alibaba/express, one QB from Kingbrite was good, one really cheap QB that was garbage, and a 240w probably lm281b which is ok. Both Mars Hydro and Spider Farmer have 150w lamps with 301b evos for $140,.

Wouldn't really use that link above as a "how to tell if its a samsung 301H/B or not". Barley should even use it as 2835 vs 3030...which is not an issue for anyone. 3030=3mmx3mm 2835= 2.8mmx3.5mm 5050=5mmx5mm 5630=5.6mmx3mm.

Didn't mention anything between different 3030s. Did bring up the flip chip..but never mention what it is and what to look for...aka lack of bond wires connectnig chip to package.
For instance they talk about the 301d and infer its a different size...when it is not. It's the exact same size as the 301b/h's so not sure where he is coming up with the poppy cock...their are called 3030 for their size, not for fun 3mmx3mm.
301b/h vs 301d is a pad difference, and a non flip chip for the 301D...aka will have bond wires. 301h/b's will not.
Can see these main differences when dimmed and looking, or use a welders mask/glass and is clear as day.

Higher price means it genuine??? more like you got ripped off if thats their stance.

Anyways....don't use that article, it didn't give you anything to use.

Look to see if they are flip chips or not. After that, go to the pads. For dads your gunna need some luck to find enough of an exposed pad to tell the differecne, as they both have symmetrical wide tails, but the narrower center that is not usually exposed is where you find the difference.

If your light is now broken and always wondered...just chip one led off with a flat head. Look at the pad. Their is your only guarantee.

But even as I say that, cree's new E class 3030 is a direct drop in for the 301b/h. Same squiggly pad, same flip chip. BTW it better than the 301h/B...so would that make it a counterfeit, even if its an upgrade in every manner? And on the otherside, you best belive the chinese have 1:1 looking knock offs, pads and all, to drop in

I think its a bit of a stretch to call that a 5 channel light: its a light where you can add a fixed amount of reds blues and uvs using the same dimmer but not control 5 channels independently. If (when?) that driver box fails it impossible to use all those functions.
